Just to throw a woodworking tip out for all the curious souls: if you want to treat/protect/care for your wand but don't want to use something like a polyurethane coating, you can use most clean oils to treat wood. These can be mineral oil, linseed oil, lemon oils (like furniture polish), or even baby oil of you dont like the other scents. Gently rub the oil into the wood with a cloth, let set overnight, repeat and you're golden 🖤

Phenomenal video!!! I recently lost my fiancé to COVID and I spoke with a medium not too long after he transitioned...she reminded me of my own clairvoyant abilities and I’m trying to get back in touch with all of my spirituality and I started by creating a sacred space to honor him, myself, nature and all that is. And I fell in love with the concept of creating my own wand...and what I adore about you is that like me you truly seem to be a free spirit. Your craft and your practice is about what resonates with you, although doing research is imperative as well...using someone else’s example as a guide but ultimately looking within and furthering your own process is the key. Thank you for this video. 🦋✨

Please read the whole Bible for yourself a little everyday, for the rest of your life and pray to God everyday for guidance and with thanksgiving and accept and BELIEVE that JESUS CHRIST is your ONLY SAVIOR , BEFORE YOU DIE AND ITS TOO LATE. Acknowledge to God in prayer that you realize that you are a sinner and that you need a SAVIOR and that you BELIEVE that JESUS is your ONE and ONLY SAVIOR and you BELIEVE that He died for your sins and that you BELIEVE that He resurrected from the dead three days later and afterward ascended back into Heaven so that you could have eternal life with Him and that He is coming back! Come as you are, a sinner in need of a SAVIOR. ALWAYS BE THANKFUL FOR JESUS.

I recently took a giant branch and some smaller ones from our backyard after our oak tree dropped them in a storm. I knew the maintenance people would immediately clean it up and it felt like such a waste. My initial thought was to craft something or clean them up and use them in a terrarium, but they have just been sitting in the basement for weeks now. For some reason, yesterday when I went into the basement to get something from the freezer, one smaller piece called out to me to make a wand out of it. Out of the blue really. I am just getting into witchcraft, I had no thoughts or intentions of making a wand at all. I'm just trying to read and educate myself at this stage but for some reason I had to grab that branch and start working on it immediately. I used my dremel to sand it down, then did some research and come to find out oak has protective properties. Thank you sweet tree... this is exactly what I need. The main reason I am getting into witchcraft is to protect myself and my family. We are going through an extremely rough time, have been for 4 long years now and it keepd getting much worse all the time. I also know I was cursed by a woman about 3 years ago and I'm certain that amplified all the negative things that happen to us. But this branch. There was a reason it called me. I'm still contemplating on what to do next, now that it's sanded. It's not the typical wand length from what I have read. It's a bit shorter, but to me it's perfect. I may add some black obsidian to it. Not entirely sure. I'll just let things come to me, since that was how this all started. I'm so grateful for that tree giving me this branch. It's already very precious to me and I haven't even used it. Just having it makes me feel better.

I bought my wand 16 years ago from Abby Willowroot, and it's made of carved pewter, with the triple Goddesses around it, and a moonstone sphere at the tip. I've tried making my own from wood, but nothing feels right except my pewter wand. Thank you for telling me it's okay to prefer something that isn't wood, as I've always wondered if it was okay to feel this way.

Thank you, I agree the wand is not a weapon. It's a tool to enhance the magic in you. A conductor of your energy if you will. It is rather entertaining to watch people misunderstandings. It's 2020 and some Witches are still forced into broom closet🤔🕸️🌌🎭

Just found this video. I found mine in my yard and had no idea how to transform it. It called to me but it has just been sitting there, apparently waiting for me to find you. Thank you 🙏. Update: started working on it and I’m in love. I chose Citrine for the crystal. Left the bark on but added a layer of oil infused with essential oils to help condition the wood. Some wrapping around the handle and a beautiful spring of flowers. So simple and elegant. I will add things as they call to me but for now I’m very pleased. Love and light to you.

I came across your video by happy chance and instead of doing my homework I got inspired to decorate my wand. I am empathic and have a hard time with my energy levels getting depleted so my first wand was with that intention using an amethyst on the handle, added 3 green small aventurine gemstone chips for the 3 aspects of the the Goddess Brigid who is my patron, 5 clear crystal quartz for all 5 elements (didn't have the different colors so used what I had on hand) and a clear crystal quartz for the tip. I wrapped everything in the smaller copper wire and when I was done the feeling of happiness was overwhelming. I am so glad I found your video. :) Blessed be!

I made my wand from a hazel stick because we have some nice coppiced hazels that have been in use for generations at the house where I live, and they are a very protective, magical wood. It felt like those plants have a strong working relationship with the people here - people maintain the coppices and harvest the wood for things like fencing, tool handles, and now a wand :) Its an old way of living with the land. It has no crystals or embellishments, instead I used a wood burning kit to add some meaningful symbols to it. I'm not against embellishments, I just haven't found any I want to add to it yet. If you're using freshly cut or fallen raw or green wood or wood collected after a rain, I would suggest baking it at a low temperature in the oven (150-200 Fahrenheit) to dry it so that it doesn't split or crack later on.

I love your messages too! Encouraging whatever resonates with each person and the option to just use yourself, pointing out our best tool is ourselves. Just to share, I made my wand when I was first starting and it is made of a branch of my favorite rose bush from the house I grew up in when we pruned them in the winter. It has crystals and is bound by copper wire as well. Omg! Did I see the Slytherin creat on your tea mug? You are a Slytherin too? You just get cooler and cooler. Just goes to show we can be good Witches and be in Slytherin. LoL.

When asking the plants in my yard if i can have some of their leaves or flowers i go to the area that i get the strongest feeling from and if that area is unnaturally warm it usually means yes and it'll come right off the plants. If its unsure it won't come easily and i usually leave that part alone. Lady's finger in particular likes to be plucked in the moonlight.

I ended up with two staffs from them being displayed and me asking permission. The first was hanging like a pullup bar between two trees over looking a large pond. The other was along a path in front of a felled tree. Both times I got permission and both times they weren't like normal branches, both having little to no bark, the first having deep tears along the sides and color shifts between red brown and pale brown, the second is symmetrical with both sides being nearly at a point. Both I came across near a pond and the second one I found near what seemed like an anomaly. Right next to a small pond on the hiking trail near archery targets in my home town, there is this huge felled branch laying across two small trees crossing at the middle of the felled branch. Vines have grown around the three parts of this and a few feet from this is a tree that looks like it had been struck by lightning but isn't marked towards the top, like it was burnt from the bottom going up. The whole situation is extremely odd to me. But I tend not to question too much. I have a friend who has felt like he's being wat hed near there and another who doesn't live but a few miles away say that she's heard voices when out walking. The whole thing is kinda creepy.

I have a question: I keep reading that cleansing items be it tools or other things, before use is pretty much common practice which makes sense of course. But, in this case, the branch fell off the tree in a storm, was picked up by me the next day and put into the basement where nobody has touched it since, my thought is I don't want to cleanse it -it called out to me and I don't want to remove that energy from it. Is it ok if I don't cleanse it? I have this strong feeling that I shouldn't because I'd be taking away from it
@FORESTANDFAWN
@FORESTANDFAWN 4 жыл бұрын
That's totally fine. I would def cleanse anything that goes onto your wand if that makes any sense. Especially if you're trying to maintain the integrity of its original energy!

Go with Your intuition, Look up some pinterest Ideas. Its always the best in terms of the effect but also most satisfying when You create sth that resonates with You. What i do is I Type in key Phrases and use whatever I feel is right for me personally, looking for what I vibe with.

(don’t quote me on this) but i’m pretty sure you can ‘program’ crystals, clear quartz is the easiest, that’s why it is replaceable for almost any crystal, but i think if you put enough energy and affirmations you can program it to do lots of things! whatever feels right for you, you should do!

Do you have to have a wand for each element, or better yet, my question should be is it best to have one for each? Really haven't gotten into the study of these, all my past two to 3 years are just the basic studies of the craft as in god's & goddesses. Just trying to get all info possible, because very serious about my work & practice. Thank you for this, much appreciated by far.

A bit late to the party but reconnecting with my path after 10(ish) years, I'm thinking of heading out on Mabon to find some nice wood (found, not taken) to make my wand. I would like to make a more water aspected wand given I connect with water strongly and am a very typical water sign. What components would you recommend? If it helps I lean more towards divination and like you I fall into the art witch category.

How do I know which end to use as the business end? I have a piece of Driftwood that connected to me last summer at my campsite and I've had it since but one end has like a knot like a bulb at the very end of it and I'm not sure whether to use that to embed the crystal or use that to hold on to any advice would be greatly helpful wish I could send a picture
@FORESTANDFAWN
@FORESTANDFAWN Жыл бұрын
Hi! The ends really do not matter. However, once you designate it, you should be consistent. My suggestion, if it has a bulb type side, use that as your palm end. I can see really holding that to raise energy!
