Hello from Guatemala 🇬🇹 My name is Jeri and I am an American living as an expat in a beautiful little place called Panajachel on Lake Atitlan which is surrounded by over 20 small volcanoes and is a positive vortex. This is my first Litha celebration here and and I'm the only witch in the area besides the incredibly powerful and beautiful Mayans. Right now is what they call the "wet season" as there are only 2 seasons in Guatemala, wet & dry. I was starting to feel a litlle down this year because I am all alone to celebrate Litha and the rain is coming harder and faster each day. But your video and beautiful creations cheered me right up with all the wonderful ideas you shared with us. The closest dollar store is 5 hours away in Guatemala City and travel there is almost impossible because of the quarantine as the Guatemala President is a Physician and has been very protective of all his citizens as he's the best President we've seen here in years. Regardless, travel is almost impossible so the dollar store is out, but I think I've got enough craft supplies to put together something special. Thank you for the inspiration!!! Blessed be ❤
@FORESTANDFAWN4 жыл бұрын
Wow Jeri! That is so interesting. I never knew about the two seasons there. I'm happy that your president cares about your safety! If your dollar store is far try finding stuff at home! You'll be surprised! Also doesn't take much to celebrate Litha. You can simply show gratitude to the God and Goddess and that's enough!!

Hello, if you scribble on the back of your design using a normal writing pencil then flip over to trace, the pencil makes a mark onto your surface. I hope this makes sense. It’s free carbon paper but even that is cheap enough and can be reused. Works a charm! Love your makes I’m in England so we have pound shops, which are also pretty good for cheap art and craft supplies. Blessed be.

If you coat the paper in chalk or pencil (the back of it not the picture side), you can trace the drawing more lightly and it will transfer over! Then you won't have any gouges in the wood.

Honestly looking at the tray I don't think it's pine at all. Looks like Balsa wood. For those interested, it's a very soft, strong, and versatile material from a fast growing tree (which makes it cheap and readily available) that's well loved in model and miniatures communities. Thank you for coming to my TED talk. 👍🏻

Everything from functioning shelves to full on crazy detailed model wizard towers. One nice feature is the ability to cut and score balsa with just an Xacto blade, plus it bonds crazy well with almost any glue (super, wood, PVA aka white glue) so you can use it to build almost anything you can imagine.
