I love this for gel. Instead of buying a bunch of really expensive color glitter gels, I just make my own with the liquid art and Young Nails fantabulous glitters! ❤️

Would you need to put a thin layer of clear acrylic down before you do the color? Meaning will it stain the nail bed? I have these but haven’t used them yet.
@youngnailsinc3 жыл бұрын
Yes, it's best to apply a thin layer of acrylic before your liquid art as it will stain the nail. Also do this if you are using colored acrylics to avoid staining or under glitter applications or other art so when you change out the design, you don't have to file all the way to the natural nail to remove the design.

Can you tint these with black as well or does black overpower the color? Do these work with alcohol inks?
@youngnailsinc3 жыл бұрын
We don't have a black liquid art, just the red, yellow & blue. Since alcohol inks aren't a product we carry, we can't say for sure how these would mix together. However, keep in mind that liquid art is colored monomer and alcohol inks are a completely different chemistry.

If you are using the Liquid Art with gel, you can clean out the dropper with Swipe.

Would it work with coloured pigment powder in the acrylic liquid? I have some bright neon color's
@youngnailsinc3 жыл бұрын
If you are using pigment powders, it is best if you mix them with your acrylic powders rather than in the monomer. In the monomer, they don't stay fully mixed & settle to the bottom of the dampen dish.
@SashaWillams1232 жыл бұрын
Where do you get the liquid art?? I don’t see it on the website.

Can this be mixed with soak off gel or will it only work with hard gel? Mani-q in the pot is my current obsession 🤩
@youngnailsinc3 жыл бұрын
You can mix it with your ManiQ, but only use vey small amounts. ManiQ is already a thin product and adding the Liquid Art will thin it out even more and you still need the durability of the gel. Also, make sure to do a coat of just clear ManiQ on the natural nail before you apply your tinted layer so it doesn't stain the nail.

So liquid art isn't monomer? It's just color basically? Great to know.

I like to what is the color as it not just monomer, and where to find it?
@youngnailsinc3 жыл бұрын
The product in the dappen dish before we add liquid art is just our monomer. The liquid art is colored monomer that we add to make different colors.

What exactly is Slick Pour? Another name for acrylic powder?
@Anon_E_Muss3 жыл бұрын
It's their dip powder which can also be used with monomer as acrylic, or mixed into hard gel.

Hmmm, want to thin out the shade of the drops.... well just add drops of plain monomer if the red or blue or which ever color you make is just a tad too dark....... super sheer jelly nails!!

Could mixing liquid art with hard gel cause an “over exposure” incident? Like causing someone to develop allergies?? I learned in school not to mix polishes into gel because they are not meant to mix and can cause allergies. I would think mixing monomer into hard gel would cause the same concerns??
@iliaslamprou75253 жыл бұрын
On the other hand...before you use the hard gel,you have a layer of base gel on the natural nail so I'm thinking...this can be the protective layer from the mix of the hard gel you put on...🤔 ?!probably...
@XOXOlove573 жыл бұрын
@@iliaslamprou7525 in school they told us these kind of products that dont “cure properly” like too much monomer can seep through into the nail plate so I don’t know

@youngnailsinc3 жыл бұрын
When you mix the Liquid Art into your hard gels, you want to only use a small amount and keep mixing until it is completely combined and you don't see streaks if the color. This way, the monomer, which is a similar chemistry, is combined with the gel and will fully cure in the gel & become non porous. Once cured, you shouldn't have issues of over exposure.

@bewitching2u4753 жыл бұрын
Hmmm wondering if food coloring would work too
@ainjulleg3 жыл бұрын
@@bewitching2u475 no unless it's alcohol based. Most are water based and that would ruin your monomer

Liquid art is colored monomer
@Hbomb4113 жыл бұрын
@@bewitching2u475 they have gel food coloring that might work since it's not liquid and watery tho mixing it well into the monomer might be a pain since it is a gel🤔 idk if it has any water base at all either... Might be worth an experiment tho 😉
