Ahoy hoy you absolute legends! Welcome back to another monthly liquid drum and bass mix! Time flies when you're having fun making mixes hey! 😄
Hope you're having an awesome summer so far if you're in the northern hemisphere and if you're in the southern hemisphere, stay warm by getting a little dance on with this month's selection 😃
Thanks for all the love on the recent uploads, it's been awesome to meet you fellow dnb heads and we're now over 700 strong and growing, which is nuts! I'll keep the mixes coming as the liquid vibes always help get us through🙏
So who's filling up our frequencies this month?
Well, we have 17 tunes (yes, 17!) ranging from 2006 to this year (2024, if you're listening in the future!). Normally it's only 16 tracks and I feature tunes no later than 2020 but, as I've been hearing other mixes on KZbin, playlists and some gems from Spotify, I simply must put them in a mix!
There's a few spiritual tracks, liquid jungle, bangers and some deep soulful vibes all blended in to give you a 70 minute soundtrack for your house tidying 😜
I didn't put any of my tunes in this month as I got a little carried away in May, putting 3 in a row and then one in June but I may do a showcase mix in August of my tunes, all of which will be available on Bandcamp 😃
I also discovered my video software has the ability to generate some A.I. images, which I played around with a little more this month. I have to say, this A.I. stuff is impressive isn't it! Mixing the images in with the tunes is all part of the fun, I just go off the vibe that the tracks make me feel, there's no other thought process behind it 😃
Regular listeners know the drill but if you're new to the channel, firstly, welcome! I feature a host of what I call "liquid DnB" tunes over the last 20 years that have lifted my soul or provided a comforting outlet for the bad times. It's always exciting to mix the older tunes in with the newer ones and see how the vibes and sound production techniques have evolved 😃
You may have heard some of them before if you float around the same circles as I do! Always good to support the artists in any case 😁
I hope the mix helps you through the month and don't forget to show some love to the dnb producers who made these tracks 😃

P.s. I particualrly liked the transition from S.P.Y. & DJ Marky - Days Go Slow (Makoto remix) to ALB & Subdivision - Origins (Silence Groove remix) when it launched into some old skool jungalist massive! I wasn't expecting that, and it was seamless m8. Well done 👍

It was sunny when I wrote that bit, then the UK Summer kicked in again by the time July's mix was published! It's summer somewhere I'm sure lol! It's pouring with rain today but we at least have the tunes to provide some brightness today! Hope the artwork is going well and you're able to work through it this weekend!
