Some music history for you. This tune was basically sampled from Jah Shaka's dub lp from 1983 called Revelation Songs. Only soundsystem man like myself and others from them times will know this riddim, However, the track Shaka released on the Lp is the tamed version. The proper original version was an 82' dub plate on acetate and was used specifically for sound system clash. and for those of you that don't know Jah Shaka soundsystem, he is the most revered and most respected single handed selector of original roots dub in the realms of reggae music. Seen him dust out a soundsystem many a time back in the early 79' early 80's... when Shaka play the dance is always bubbling. Salute!

Nonsense, nobody cares. The 90s gen we knew the liquid tune. It became famous by xl recordings. When the prodigy took the no good sample, nobody knew the original. The music is a cycle and a vehicle at the same time
@josephhoward94192 жыл бұрын
@@AlexandrosMpothos no need to be a douche he was just sharing some history with the original sample which is really handy to know as people like myself that make tunes like to know so we know where to get samples from! This is why i loved oldskool hardcore tunes, for the simplicity and nice arrangements of breaks and melodies. They may be basic but these tunes are way more memorable than any of the shit coming out nowdays. Take almost any classic hardcore song and it is better than any of kanyes crap music put together times by ten. Many HipHop producers started off in the Hardcore sampling scene, some started off from making tracker songs for amiga computer games and crack screens though, I know Moby and Prodigy did for sure. Its the reason why nearly all Oldskool Jungle hardcore was from England, just like the Commodore Amiga scene.
@VCJS319 жыл бұрын
Cloakfiend It is also sad to see how people have the wrong definition of hardcore. There are a lot of ignorant among them because they still associate hardcore with the dutch techno gabber. The real hardcore is British from UK, Breakbeat music is one of the main origins. They are two different worlds and styles.
@andrew-age9 жыл бұрын
+Cloakfiend Hello friend, German resident here. Well, you are completely right.. Hardcore UK was the only and the best. Made popular here by the early Steve Mason who had a radio show on BFBS Germany. But a big Amiga scene we DID have. It was more about gaming. I´ll forever be thankful to the UK for Hardcore & Rave (and Kate Bush, I am adding blushingly...)
