Both games that they won in this series they had 5 meta heroes(Pro scene meta not pub meta) though. Falcons farmed tournaments with these exact same drafts

Liquid has 2 mid players. Not saying mid players cant carry but not being able to atleast threaten hero picks (even if they are not good) on the carry position is such a huge disadvantage in draft.

yeah I just don't think micke is impactful enough pos 1 or 2. Nisha used to be considered an S tier carry a few years ago I wonder if he'd be able to carry harder from pos1

I havent seen them drag out the game for a naga/medusa/etc. in an impressive way once even though they have been winning like crazy over the past 2 years. How hard is it just to grind naga siren over a fortnight. Who doesnt have naga in their pool?! They should be able to atleast threaten that pick. If micke learns naga then he can easily play the other 3 illusion heroes and then drafting into liquid becomes WAY harder just because of a bit of practice.

Micke was a carry player for his entire dota career until matumbaman joined liquid forcing him to play mid. He's just not a top tier carry currently, maybe in the future.

@@Koolasuchus8 Yup. In most patches there's 1 strong illusion hero or faceless void is in meta which makes naga a great counter pick. I'm assuming he'll work on it slowly if he's staying on the carry role. We'll see if he stays mediocre as a carry or improve. The big tournaments of this season are coming soon!

I think its good for them to get eliminated to at least take a little break before the next tournament, Most team who got a break from tournaments perfom better when they enter new ones. Seems like there is tournament every 2 weeks, must be tiring for players.

I wonder if they will kick Micke after this, dude has been underperforming for months and has never won a Tier 1 tournament, how do you expect Liquid to win TI with this guy? I know he has a lot of 2nd places, but there are tons of players with 2nd places out there too.

True... Probably the weakest link in liquid is Mickie. Though in this best of 3 Insania too made a ton of mistakes and wasn't there when he was needed the most in game 3. He was supposed to be the saviour/healer but he lacked a lot

I don't think it is an issue with indivudual performances. They just don't seem on the same page and in some games like game 1 their game plan is just not working. In my opinion micke played good this tournament if he gets the tools to do so. Look at the first game against PSG Quest how they threw the game by all dying back... Not even yatorogod could have carried this game with ls

I think it's a coach and mentality problem. I like Blitz but he is so not coach material neither in strategy nor in keeping his team in check. He's too nice and soft and he's low rank to posit strats not befitting a team that wishes to compete at the highest level. They can keep him in Liquid but please get a real coach!
