There were no cell phones and many people from India were going abroad and people whose relatives are gone away were always looking forward to the letter of their foreign relatives. Then mail was the only option to write so many things to your Relatives. Phone service was very expensive and not reliable. That time this song was very, very popular. Thank you. *****

These two are good singers but are not so good in carrying on an interesting conversation. I have seen Pankaj Udhas in Hamilton, Canada many moons ago when he was very young. Personally, I think he is too short in height to be acting in a film. But then, those days of Dilip Kumar, Raj Kapoor and Dev Anand are long gone when people were used to looking at tall and handsome heros on screen. In those days, they would not hire people like Ajay Devgan and Sunil Shetty to even hold parda (screen). Sadly, same applies to today's heroines, as well.
