It is possible but the amount of compressed air that flows continuously is pretty small, you would need either a smaller plastic container or a large air compressor!

Can you use PVC pipe, instead of copper? Is it because of the PVC´s pressure rating? how many psi did you use to fluidize that amount of sand?

I think that's actually what the glass beads are for, but they have to be shot out of an air gun. The method wouldn't have enough force to take paint off of an object.

sure can, the hardware sells bladed made for non-ferrous metal (metal without iron)... this one was expensive but does the trick! Most carbide blades with 60 teeth or more will cut copper no problem
