Love how everyone said it's DBD once he said you can hook up humans when that's literally what they did in the movie that came out in 1988. Any Asymmetrical game = DBD clone

Just because the source material also used hooks does not mean they have to use it in the game. the fact they decided to use it in the game is highly suggestive that they pulled ideas from DBD which was created before this game was made.
