This is why we have had power switches installed in our garage, for example. When we go to bed at night, we simply turn it off, it's like a standard light switch but instead it cuts all power to the door. Mum thought of that one 35+ years ago and the whole extended family has done it ever since.

@pen25 An even easier way is to just remove the T-handle. The hook can't grab the line. Alternatively, for more security, remove the cable all together. Then zip tie the release so that it can't be pulled.

Most garage door open buttons ALSO have a LOCK button that shuts off the door and LOCKS it. Button has to be manually pushed to UNLOCK and use a remote. Push at night and it will help.

If you have a garage door opener with a wifi & app control, make sure to use that exclusively & don’t use your standard remote to open & close your garage door, and nobody can gain access with one of those flipper devices.

Yeah but can you brute force an Rd signal like a gate or garage door opener? If not then you can't get into them without the remote being used which isn't that practical.

The 'former' FBI agent at 2:00 has no idea of anything. Even the newest garage door openers with rolling codes can be breached using the Flipper with the right firmware. The rolling code algorithm for Security+ 2.0 is known and cracked.

My brother has electronic locks on his doors. Sounds like they are not that secure after all. Around my town the police tell people with electric garage doors to make sure they are manually locked as well do too the high theft rate. We only have 180,000 people living in town yet get 4 cars stolen a night. Usually from houses getting broken into and keys taken.

Not the only way a garage door can be breached. Secure the door from the garage into your home with a door jam & check it b4 going to bed, every night. You can lock the garage door too, but odds are you’ll forget to unlock it and bend the bars. 😂

Questions about security cameras. The only question I have for you.... when it is plug in 24 hours does it run up the electric bill? Do you get better video quality when you have plug in cameras like Blink mini plug in or Wyze plug in cameras? ve outdoor wireless cameras? which brand has better video quality better night vision and real time motion detector record time? Also there is a light bulb security camera you thoughts on those. I just saw one at someone house and the guy told me it move 360 degree and show me clear video. im trying to replicate the gate code for our gated community, since replacing in an HOA location is expensive. I googled some info on the remote and it seems to be a linear code, yet I cannot pick up any kind of signal from the frequency analyzer. Totally off-topic here but. What should I do with an older laptop or netbook that will not handle windows 11?. I was thinking o either Chrome flex or maybe a Linux distro for simple stuff, Such as email, web surfing or maybe using Libre office. A couple of things: 1. I always leave out critical steps so it's not a how to tutorial. 2. If you think these criminals are waiting for my videos, the rock you are living under is thicker than I thought. 3. They know this stuff. It's ordinary people who don't. Knowledge is power. With that knowledge you can protect yourself. 4. It's our job as security researchers to find the bugs and holes so that companies can fix them.
