My hubby got me the automation for my birthday, and I’ve finished more quilts in the last month than I did in the entire last year. I bought the Glide foot for my 16X Elite and it has completely eliminated any issues with quilt edges being caught up under the foot. Enjoy your new system, I know I love mine!

You need to baste all the edges down on your quilt sandwich and then the machine will not 'eat' them.

You need a shed as big as a wear house for all of your equipment and machines in your quilting room. Plus all your fabric stash and crafts. All that goodness in one room would be great.

LOL. But this way I get my steps in. 😀. I actually got an APQS about 3 months before Grace reached out to me. I tend to use my Grace more than the APQS. I have to finish anything I start on the APQS because if I don’t, Maxine thinks the quilt being quilted is her personal hammock. Oh the struggles I am blessed with.

April, does your long arm have interchangeable feet.? Mine has a clear spoon like foot that is used for going over edges of applique. It really helps. I don't sew down the edges of my quilts and sometimes they would get eaten. I hope this helps.

Does your machine have the clear large round scoop foot for applique ?? It works great and won't eat your edges. I don't see my edges down and it really helps.
