My take away is sometimes there is not restoration. God knows best, and if He doesn't restore, then its best. Amen..

Wow!! This was a right on word for me. I have my older daughter living with me & has been the last 5 1/2 years & it was to only be a year. Watching this, I have learned that I have to set the boundaries for her otherwise she will not grow. I need to let go & let God be her mediator, not me. Thank God for this word & these beautiful women.

@@ShyquannaGordon I just gave my daughter a curfew that starts tonight that she needs to be in the house at 10 & I want her car keys. I told her that it's not a punishment, it's a boundary. She understands & is in agreement. I am praising God because this is a step in the right direction.

THIS RIGHT HERE...... I WAS THE RESCUER, AND FIGHTER FOR MY FAMILY TOO, I ALSO WAS THE FIXER AFTER I MET MY HUSBAND JOHN THINGS BEGAN TO CHANGE, I HAVE LEARNED HOW TO SET UP HEALTHY BOUNDARIES WITH TOXIC FAMILY MEMBERS. I AM HATED AND TOLD I AM BEING RELIGIOUS OR WHATEVER THEY MAY SAY BUT I AM CALLED TO MY HUSBAND, AND MY CHILDREN FIRST. GOD HAS BEEN TEACHING ME BOUNDARIES, WHERE IN MY CHILDHOOD I NEVER SEEN NOR WAS BOUNDARIES MODELED FOR MY SIBLINGS AND MYSELF. I NEEDED THIS

Just what I needed to learn. My dad is a narcissist and my mom has been conditioned to this treatment even when there’s solution, she doesn’t want to change new ways. I felt bad for her and kept trying to build her up in God but to no avail. She only hears and doesn’t act on it. Today I stopped! I will not be guilty for the choice that she makes consciously every single day.

I have had to put boundaries on people. You only take what you allow! There has to be healthy, Godly boundaries in any healthy relationship. Restoration requires repentance. This can take time and the time for restoration varies with each child of God and situation. The Bible says guard your heart.

I’m constantly struggling to provide the basic necessities for them I’m so ashamed. God hear my prayers. Every month I constantly struggle to pay my bills and struggle to provide groceries for my children Im so ashamed. BUT I KEEP FAITH. Even though I want to give up. Amen!

This hit me SO HARD today..I’m struggling badly with my 78 year old Mom whom I have always been made responsible for since I was a baby. My Dad passed away three years ago and, since then, I and my Husband are the only two people she’ll allow to help her with anything. She refuses to drive, always has, won’t call a Dr for herself more often than not, won’t go anywhere with anyone else, has no friends and doesn’t want any and is extremely difficult to be around. Shes narcissistic and completely self absorbed. I cannot figure out how to have boundaries with her when she relies on me for everything. Grocery shopping, Dr appointments, picking up prescriptions, getting to church etc etc etc. and it causes a LOT of stress on myself, my Husband and our adult handicapped Son we are guardians of. Help…please
@lenicelacourdia8 ай бұрын
It may be a challenge right now. But if you and your husband would come together and pray to God for the answers and also to give you strength and wisdom on how to care for her. She is a widow and that is one of our charges as a believer. I encourage you to pray and don’t get weary. Find some kind of way to bring positivity in it day by day. I am so sorry you are having to deal with this but pray the will of the Lord and ask Holy Spirit to help you and to reveal what it is you need to know and do. Pray for her health and strength and also for you and your spouse! I hope this is encouraging.

Please do more on this topic. I've had to set firm boundaries with a family member due to unstable behavior. It's really challenging bc they'll act fine in public and for periods of time but then have this random unkind, manic behavior with family. There's never an apology or acknowledgement of the bad behavior. It's really tough bc kids are affected and we've set a boundary not to be at family gatherings with this individual.

Thank you Lord I needed this wod today!!! I grew up in a very dysfunctional home never learned and saw boundaries. And over this past year the lord has been trying to teach me boundaries especially with toxic family members. I love my husband but his family As so much hatred towards me And just completely loves his ex girlfriend who he shares two of his children with. I have 2 children from previous marriage and we also share a precious child together also. And his ex and family have tried to start drama and cross our boundaries.. This has been very difficult For me especially over the years!! Hearing this today I felt like i'm not alone that I want to show love even when I am totally talked maliciously to and disrespected!! But I. Also learned today that godly boundaries are so necessary And not everyone will like them but So necessary!!! I definitely felt encouraged to day.But I just asked that your ladies will.Please pray for my family The god will continuously show me the boundaries that needs to be in place with the toxic family members That our union will be respected But also God to show us us how to love them even when they hurt us.. Thank you all and god bless

Unsafe is not limited to the physical. Abuse to your soul in form of little stings, demeaning speech, micro aggressions etc. . . is not okay. And as Christians we need to learn to protect ourselves from that as well. Most of us wait till we are fully burned out.

What if u dont love your mum. She tries to support some things but also puts me down ALOT! we are total opposites she is a miserable Mandy and me i will try all options before i give up yet she gives up before she even starts. I told her about abuse from an ex she said im talking text book. I told her i wanted to get my power back, she said i was talking shit and laughed. I told her want to be happy in life and she called me selfish because i didnt memtion my child despite my child being my world. I try to cut her off but shes got her own relationship with my child. But i dont love her at all. It hurts be aus eim an only child, dont have much family around me and rhe one person whom i love truly, her mother has dementia, so i feel that motherly love i havent experienced and i didnt have one from my non present father too.
