I used to hear this fabulous song on the Quiet Storm WHUR, when I initially moved to the DC metropolitan area and had no idea who it was. This is much better than easing the pain.

Lisa Fischer is featured on the most interesting music documentaries I've seen: twenty feet from stardom. She is the back stage singer to several top hits from the R olling Stones. She has a velvety yet powerful voice and expresses the subtleties of music like no one else. She never went solo which is understandable given her softness.

Lisa made a solo effort in the early 90's and had an album "So Intense" that won a grammy in 1992. Amazing singer who acknowledged that she didn't like the pressure of being front and center and her sweet spot is singing back up for other artists.
