Damien and Lisa each have their own way of telling stories through song. Obviously, you are entitled to your opinion, but I think what would make her a mediocre artist would be if she copied his style and tried to make her songs sound like his. She has established herself as an independent artist. Not mediocre. Just different.

i do still think that Lisa owes her projection to Damien. she would be much more less recognized if she didn´t had that background. and Damien got her on a stage, wich she says that in the past was a very frightining thing for her.

The old songs just don't sound half as good without her. and the newer stuff isn't as powerful (except for the songs that sound heavily inspired by her). He's milking the old shit and living on ancient fame. I used to be a big big fan but I'm bored to death how repetitive he is

Her hoarse voice is super sexy and I like "Lille" very much. But, in all honesty, a full set of just her is soporific. I don't think I'd be into her at all if she wasn't so damn pretty.

I am not interested in her prettiniess, being a straight female, and I find her music extremely boring and uninventive. I got led here through being a John Smith fan.. not sure why he plays guitar with her, someone needs to prop up her three note guitar playing...

If you don't appreciate the complex layering and wonderful instrumentation which was pretty inventive even on 'Sea Sew' then you are just deaf. All respect to John Smith, he is such a uniue voice, and his guitar skills absolute top, but most of his own work is truly boring, so I really don't know what you're on about :D I even went to see him live and I was praying he would finish after 10 minutes, unlike Lisa who was entertaining, even without her band.
