Alright so lots of you are taking me saying ‘I learn the choreography in a day’ I’m completely the wrong way, maybe I should’ve phrased it differently? as someone who needs a couple days to take in choreo I was surprised at how quickly I picked it up. Was I expecting a Lili Films choreo? No she has to be able to sing and perform live!! But was I expecting something more than a tiktok dance? Yes!! I’m allowed to be disappointed and like I said the song has grown on me so much and I enjoy them both a lot now :)))

Same here. My fave solo so far. She kept it personal and showcases all flavors of herself that. The choreo makes sense for the vibe of the song and a lot of people say the choreo is easy yet 99% of the covers I’ve seen can’t execute it half as good. Sure the choreo steps might be simple for Lisa’s standard but the execution makes all the difference.

I agree and I know everyone’s talking about how the songs are “meaningless” but then go and listen to rap songs that have less meaning than they claim her songs have. We all personally don’t know Lisa so we can really say oh well this is what Lisa should sound like or should do this. I think too many people were expecting Lilifilm type dances for her solo. I believe the consensus was to have choreo that fans could dance to. I believe you alluded to that in your intro. But I’m supposed to be working and not on KZbin. Multi-tasking here! But yeah, can’t hashtag LalisaChallenge with choreo utilizing Lisa’s top level of skill. I actually felt Lalisa was better than I expected. That short cute bit I think was for duality purposes. Just to remind the viewer that she’s not fierce 24/7. She’s got a cute side too.

Everyone saying the dance choreo was sooo easy when there's me who has such a hard time even trying to do the dances 😂😂 I personally feel like so long as the choreo fits, it shouldn't really matter if it isn't as complicated or "hard-hitting". I know she's the main dancer and a very good one at that so I can understand if people wanted a more harder dance for her, but not everything needs to be so hard (though I do think Lisa makes the choreo look easier than it is). She even stated why she wanted the LALISA dance to be easy. So fans could learn it and dance with her basically. That was her choice. And maybe it's just me but I just don't understand people's need for a harder choreo every time. We know Lisa can dance, she has shown it before. Why does she still need to prove herself? It feels like people are wanting her to prove her "main dancer" title and I don't get it. Overall for me, I personally enjoyed both songs from Lisa. Everything screamed Lisa for me and I loved it. Not everything needs to have a deep and meaningful message to it and I find that to be just fine. Both songs showed to me who Lisa is and she's not afraid to be who she is. This powerful and hard working woman that acknowledges her status and also likes spending money on herself 🤷‍♀️ lol.

I totally agree to you. For me LALISA really fits on her. I also think that LISA really sets so much standard when it comes to her position being the main dancer that’s why people are really expecting so much for her choreo. But these solo is different from her lilifilm. Lilifilm is a dance cover that’s why she’s more powerful when it comes to the choreo. I do also understand why she minimize the steps so that people can cover it easily cause let’s all be honest not people ( who stan her ) can dance dance. I also don’t compare the girls solo because they have different flavors and different attacks. Its also okay to put your expectation but don’t put it to high and gonna be disappointed at the end. But yeah, all people have different opinions so I do understand where they are coming from.

I EXPECTED LISA'S DEBUT TO CURE THE PANDEMIC! Not really, but I think some fans unrealistic expectations, destroyed any chance of them appreciating the album for what it is. When I listen to evaluators who are hearing Lisa for the first time, they seem to have the right perspective of the videos - and enjoy them more. Lisa sang, created a Tik Tok dance, learned to pole dance, had 3 different rap styles, payed homage to her heritage, showed a soft and a boss side, rode a motorcycle and an ATV, reinforced her love for Blackpink, had several costume changes, and had over 9 set changes - in just one video! What more could you want? A collaboration with BTS? Please Realize That Lisa Is Mortal! I loved her performances, she provided breathtaking entertainment; but I wish she could have brought the moon closer to the Earth.

That is so me..the 1st time ive heard Lalisa..i was so confused and disapoointed..but the 3rd time i listened to it..i found myself LSS by it. For the general public who does not know Lisa that much, I think they are blown away by these videos. This explains a two million increase in the number of subscribers to Blackpink Channel in just two weeks. For us who have watched so many Lisa's performances, we know that she can do much more than this and this is why we tend to have higher expectations for her. I get why you feel this way because I had the exact same feelings. By the way, in my opinion, they made a much larger investment in the Lalisa video. The production is way better than On the Ground or Solo. It is much more well thought out.

I think the choreo is good enough. It is well balance for a performer to be able to sing while dancing, unlike in the LiliFilm she's "only" dancing there. If you want hard choreos then how will she sing properly while catching up her breath due to hard choreos?? We all know that blackpink is known for their live vocals. And maybe the choreographer and Lisa wants the dance to be easily learn so that the fans will be able to dance to it.

I think you explained already how you could've been disappointed, and with the similar comments I've seen too. Just my thoughts. Your expectations were based on how the first 2 solos were, as if it's a comeback, but this is a Lisa debut. If there was any basis for expectations it should've been who Lisa is, her personality is different from Jennie and Rosé (and Jisoo for that matter, they're all different). The song is one that always lifts up my mood, and it's something you can't help but dance to. As simple as that, Lisa is a dancer and the members always talk about how she brings positivity to the group. LALISA is a bop, and perfect for who Lisa is in my opinion. That's why it met my expectations and more.

i had the opposite reaction. it took me 2-3 days to hop on the money hype? because when i listened to the first verse, i couldn't feel anything. maybe because i was so hyped on lalisa. Money had a slow chill vibe (just because at that time i haven't reached the chorus yet) while i agree with you that Lalisa's dance and lyrics are "simple" for what i expected of Lisa, i immediately understood her intention of wanting it easy for everybody to enjoy not just the music itself but also the choreo. she purposely chose to make the steps easier to follow for the audience. her goal was to make everybody dance to her song and that's what happened. and with that in mind, i appreciated the whole song. i didn't even have the time to compare it with the other members' solo. the thai part also is one of the important part that made me fall in love with the song. Money on the other hand, i realized the power of promotion. because the amount of times i listen to the song in my FYP pushed me to finally give the song a chance and there was no turning back. and then after a while, she released the exclusive dance performance and i'm doomed lmao

It's okay to being honest, nothing in this world that has to be always good. For me, Lalisa is such a perfect song's style for Lisa because you know Lisa has versalities that she can be swag, sexy, elegant, and even cutesy vibes. And all those personalities has potrayed in LALISA song. Just the choreo I think it's a bit weak for lisa's ability as a main dancer, but again, I'm considered Lisa as a music performer,not a dancer, then I think she keeps the choreo a little bit calm and enjoyable, so she can sing it live in stage without throwing so much energy. Since the beginning of her debut as solo artist, she kept saying in the interview that the chorus dance was not hard so the fans can learn the dance easily and she want them to dance with her. She herself said that the overall of lalisa choreography is hard but a little bit easier if compare to money's, but she loves both of the choreography sets.i recommend ppl to watch LILI'S FILM; LILI'S WORLD series to know how hard she practice thechoreography of both songs and how serious she prepares for each performance. She personally chose those songs as her debut songs on her solo album with lalisa as the title track. ppl need to watch her interviews to understand more on why she chose both songs. The song and the mv- in her own word- is basically lisa saying "This is me! My name is lalisa. Please love me. I can give u/ be everything you want." The mv resonate the songs as we can see she show various different sides of her in the mv. She show us The fierce lisa, the swag lisa, the charismatic lisa, sexy sultry lisa, the tomboy lisa, the cute lisa, the elegant lisa. And i personally love it. And in my opinion it's a perfect DEBUTE song as a debute song is supposed to be your introduction to the world, tell and tease the world abt you and what u can do in 3-5 minutes time (the average length of an MV. And LALISA is successfully do that for her bcs lisa with LALISA literally reaching so many non kpop fans and turn them into her fans, which open the gate of introduction toward the kpop world and kpop idols. There are a lot of example of general ppl/non kpop fans youtuber who turn into her fans, blackpink fans or kpop fans in general because of LALISA. Her power is no joke. That's why, no matter what she do, the amount of ppl who go crazy for her is always a lot bigger that the ones who dislike/unsatisfied/disappointed. About the lalisa choreography, It's so easy for ppl to say "oh the choreography looks to easy for main dancer like her". Haven't they ever think that a song doesn't have to have a hard and complicated choreography because the song and the choreo are meant to be made that way so the fans could follow the dance and just enjoy dancing to it? IMO, this what made LALISA became even more powerful bcs it can reach lots and lots of audience; not just ppl who can dance can copy the lalisa routines, but also those who can't really dance are able to try and learn it, with the help of the easy dance. About the money lyrics, many people seems to misunderstood about the meaning of te lyrics and what it stands for. It is Not about someone singing mindlessly about money or the wealth they have. Read the lyrics, you will realize that It is actually an empowering song about self love, giving a well deserves self reward. Make yourself happy with the money u earned. ALSO, i cannot with some people who said, "why is she singing a song that she doesn't write and she CAN'T RELATE?" are u kidding me?🙄 FIRST: SHE IS A FCKING MILLIONAIRE. in fact, she's currently the richest member of BP. SECOND: Why is it matter for an artist whether she wrote the song or not? To be able to write does not guarantee they will be a great performer/intertainer/artist/musician. You still can be a great writer/producer or creator of a song/composition/choreography even if you arent an idol who perform in front of camera. And she's been known as phenomenal rapper of the group (beannies outfit). She could be fierce, sexy, cutie, boss's lady, pole dancer or anything you could've imagine. Her root is Thai where she proud of, who won 3,999 candidates from dance's auditioning and travel to Korea to fulfill her dream. Dance Practice aims for more depths in choreographies and formations. It gives you the vibe that hyped you up to join the dance where they put into TikTok's dance challenges for both man and woman versions. Lisa wants everyone to enjoy her song and able to dance along with, therefore, the choreography was not so hard but doable for most of people. Special stage was aimed for online audiences who can see a very beautiful stage special camera's angles with dance performance. Lisa and Jennie’s solos I loveeee. I had the exact same reaction as you now but for Rosé’s On The Ground. I just couldn’t get into the song for 3 days. I listened to it over and over basically forcing myself to like it. I just couldn’t like it at all. I was frustrated with myself because I felt bad that I couldn’t love or even like the song a little. My bff suggested to stop listening to the song for a couple of days. I respect everyone opinion regarding Lisa's solo but first and foremost she's an IDOL. And yes we all know Lisa is one of those top dancer in her gen but she debuted as an Idol and she will always prioritize the performance aspect. She will only come all out in dancing when she's not required to perform as an Idol who sing, rap, dance all in all and performing it live together. Prioritizing dancing when it's your debut as a solo artist is nonsense and an ignorant expectation of the few. She is not a dancer regardless of how lisa ability is and every body knows it but She is an IDOL. AN IDOL who debuted as a solo not a dancer.

LALISA's raps are great, variations of speed and swag, musically speaking they are quite rich for what we are used to in kpop, Money has cadence, self-assured sensuality, swag, attitude. Not all artists were born to please you, I did like it and many people on the planet too, never has an artist been heard in so many countries. I listened to the other solos for supporting the group but none of them I liked, but this time I have done it because I love the music and the concept of each one. Fun fact: That was Lisa's fastest rap, she spat 52 sylabes in 8 seconds, basically 6.50 syllables per second, and she hit 11 syllabes in 1 SECOND thats impressive... wich is funny cuz she usually does more slow rap/flows, in a lot of blackpink songs her raps are Always with slow flows or a little bit fast, but THAT is probably her best rap for sure, began so slow and then BOOM super fast!! LOVED THAT SO MUCH ...if I tell you ALL the references and things we have!! ITS A LOT! I also basically knew she would have a pole dance and a desert scene, cuz I'm kinda these FBI Blinks lol jk, back in July some rummors of a desert or beach scene in her solo were spread, Since its Summer in Korea, so.. that made sense, and in her 1st teaser photo(the blured one) had a thing behind her but we didnt know if it was a pole or a light.. I also knew Lalisa would be a song with a lot of sing/vocals, I'm glad that she had some sing parts because she basically raps in almost every BP song.. this is kinda sad cuz some haters be like "Lisa is the most untalented member, she is just a rapper" or "Lisa can't sing" her solo proved their wrong.. so I knew the pole dance and the desert scene and I knew we would have a dance break, this is a thing that Blinks look fowrard in every BP comeback, I knew Lalisa would be more singing AND MONEY would be more hiphop CRAZY CURIOSITIES: In her solo teasers the 4 elements are present/represented, in her 1st teaser it was red/orange is FIRE, the 2nd one is WIND, the 3rd one is WATER and the teaser photo of a motorcycle I guess its earth but I dont think so, also another fun fact, one of the thunders in her 1st teaser have the shape of THAILAND her country, AND another fun fact, she literally is representing her country in the dance break with instrumental and outfits relating to Thailand AND she literally spelled her name in the teaser, her legs in the 1st one made the letter A, on her knees in the 3rd one is L, standing is I.. another fun fact is HER SOLO IS 3:27 minutes long, ITS HER BIRTHDAY DATE 27/03, another fun fact in her rap scene, the Police outfits say "Polisa", another fun fact is in her MV teaser, in the walls we have words in Thai, English, Chinese, Korean, Japenese, ITS THE 5 LANGUAGES SHE SPEAKS (i mean she's not fluent in Jap and Chine. but she still speaks so good) another fact, her cats name appeard in the wall (lego) and her dog's name is in the lyrics (love), another fact, this fact will blow your mind: ALL THE GIRLS SOLO TEASERS RELATES TO THEIR LOVESICK GIRLS MV(Their single of their First ever full album on their 4th year of group), Jennie had a car all scridbble in her solo, in her scene in LSG there's a car scridbble, Rosé's scene in LSG she is crying in a bathtub, and the same bathtub appeard in her teaser solo, AND Lisa's scene in LSG she is in a high place with some buildings arround her, and in her 2nd teaser she.. okay u got it.. now look, Jennie had just 1 song, Rosé had 2, Lisa and DJ snake had a collab(but we dont know when will come out)so she has 3 solo songs(just her).. Yeahhh totally agree that compared to her Lilifilm dance performances and some of her other dances, a lot of us were expecting something on the same or higher level of intensity and complexity. I think the choreo is good enough. It is well balance for a performer to be able to sing while dancing, unlike in the LiliFilm she's "only" dancing there. If you want hard choreos then how will she sing properly while catching up her breath due to hard choreos?? We all know that blackpink is known for their live vocals. And maybe the choreographer and Lisa wants the dance to be easily learn so that the fans will be able to dance to it.

For those who know anything about dance, Lisa's choreography was perfect and fit the songs. As a dancer you dance to the beat and the vibe of the song. Which she did perfectly! Lisa couldn't care less if you wanted hard hitting dance moves, because that's not the interpretation of the 2 videos. Go watch her lilifilms then, Lalisa has nothing to prove to any of y'all. Here's my opinion , I've been in the dance field for 2 decades so I guess I can give my rebuttal to OP's comment on why I didn't really like Lisa's song . Also , people don't need to be dancers to have opinions about it , they are the audience who are viewing the artist's art. Lisa is majorly known for her dancing skills and charismatic performance , we have seen many videos , lili films , stages as evidence. So naturally I was expecting a Lisa worthy choreo. Lalisa song wasn't really my cup of tea , some bits and pieces were nice but only in bits not in continuation . But I guess their goal here was to showcase different sides of Lisa so I guess they achieved that , WHICH IS more of a reason why the choreography for the solo should've also showcased her dancing skills . Also, to me lalisa is not listening song but more of a performance song because of it's tempo and changing instrumentals , so the current choreography is too tame and basic which in my opinion is just not suitable with the song. With their schedule of one comeback a year at most , one would think that their management would give their full effort and care but I guess that's a conversation for some other time. The pole dancing was a pleasent surprise , something different and new from her. I used to be a blink , but since ddu ddu ddu era I've just been a casual listener because YG's money grabbing management tactics and genric title tracks just disappointed me. I still like the girls so I'm still here . Ps. I LOVE MONEY !! THE SONG , CHARISMA , VIBE . tho I feel like the dance break at the end should've been a bit tighter . But no complaints.

Like the title track screams her confidence but feels lacking, like YG did her dirty (probably related to the fact that she got ~6months prep, quite short compare to others). While money is what I feel better coming out of her, both audio & visual; understandably, since this is her love at first listen. I felt the same way about Lalisa the song but the MV, it ended up getting more box sets because right when they were filming the MV, Korea had a huge spike in covid in the city she was filming. I remember there were also supposed to be some beach/possibly yacht scenes off of Busan but they had to all be canceled. I don't understand why a Lisa song didn't have a dance break though. So so so disappointed. I think the set that doesn't fit was supposed to represent her in Korea then the next scene is her in Thailand. Also maybe toe-in with Ice-Cream? 🤷🏻‍♂️ Rosé's first MV had tons of references to older BP MV so that's why I'm reaching. Lol. They couldn't even let her finish writing her name in the sand!!!!

I am also a hardcore blink from the start. I kind of had the same first reaction to Lalisa that you did. But it did grow on me too & I love it now. I think what we are reacting to is that Lalisa tries to be too much all at once. It tries to be all sides of her and there's no room in an MV for all of it. It ultimately dilutes all of its parts. In Money, she is one character (or maybe badass from school & same badass on the streets) talking about one side of herself and it works. Same with SOLO, GONE & ON THE GROUND. they are about one subject, one side of our performer. They are all pounding home that one character/emotion. In Lalisa, it's too many different things thrown at you. You want most of the song to be Polisa or pole dancer. As you rewatch it tho, you realize she is just magnificent in every scene.

tbh I don't take it personally when people say they were disappointed with Lalisa music-wise. cuz lisa was not allowed to get involved in the song in the first place. I feel like it would be better if they allowed her to add her creative inputs in the song cuz so far she's involved with only the sets and the outfits and those turn out to be the best parts of Lalisa. It's kinda sad she's not able to be involved in the song writing process so even if the song is so much like lisa it doesn't feel as personal as the others' solos. She did have some creative input for the song LALISA though. She wanted Thai elements (instrumentals) in it and she got that. She wanted the chorus to come back one more time after the Thailand scene (it was originally going to end at the "Lalisaaaa"), and she got that.

@@anicaanuma732 True but I believe Lisa did say in the BB interview(?) that going through all of this gave her more confidence in herself as well as some leadership aspect. So I'm assuming since it's her first time without the other girls for a song, she wasn't as confident in making more creative inputs. Especially for something like songwriting. I mean, in the end Lisa is a fantastic and natural-born performer. She has never really expressed the desire to song write though. At least not to the same extent as Jennie or Rosé. That's just my assumption though. Who knows, maybe sometime in the future, she'll be credited in the songwriting part but I wasn't really surprised when her name wasn't credited for that. For the Creative Director though, was not surprised at all lol.

To be honest, I was not disappointed at all. I dont think we should have expectations and hold their videos to a standard based on OUR opinion of what we think it should have been. The video represents her in every way. It shows every facet of her personality. The glamorous side, the chic side, the fierce rapper, the swaggy rapper and dancer... even her little bit of cute that she often hides. And finally her Thai heritage. I felt that Lalisa was perfect in its simplicity.

I just also want to say, when you see her do Lalisa live, it will be the more cohesive performance version of the song that you wanted. I don't think she is doing it quite yet. But get ready for a different version of it,.. it's coming. And it will blow your mind, new choreo and changed music as well. All the way thru in one set piece.
