Take Out is such an engaging show. I binged the entire season in one day. I hope there’ll be more seasons to come. I personally feel that everything that Lisa Ling is attached to, or even just associated with, is made better by her involvement. IMO "This is Life with Lisa Ling" and "60 Minutes" are two of the most important shows to watch and dominate my Sunday nights. Obviously "60 Minutes" does not involve Lisa Ling...but it should!

She’s amazing. Great interview. Love the Prince story. He’s such a private person, it’s likely he was just concerned that she would be willing to discuss their conversations in the future. Which is perfectly understandable because she divulged info about her past boyfriend. No judgement there for either of them, just saying that’s likely what happened. So it’s not that weird given how intensely private and shy Prince could be.

Yea but she also mentioned he was interested in having deep discussions about philosophy, life, abstract things...meaning he also had an intellectual side and a deep curiosity. No doubt he was interested in her, but i think more so for her brains, though she is easy on the eyes, and much more so when she was in her 20s. Lisa's got it all - beauty, brains, class. Her parents have raised her well. She is an American treasure.

Thought I'd step up for Joy as well on this one. Many people at that table kowtow to Whoopi, and Whoopi is like a dog with a bone when they don't. Whoopi does not simply disagree... She TELLS people in a very aggressive and self-righteous manner that their view is wrong. Lisa Ling is not someone who peddles in conspiracy theories or conducts herself in an offensive manner like other guests/hosts that Whoopi has tangled with in the past, and I think Lisa's poise and intelligence makes Whoopi feel insecure. I had the same impression when Sunny first joined The View. Whoopi constantly went after Sunny in a mean-spirited manner, which I think reflected a degree of insecurity on Whoopi's part. Lisa chose not to back down multiple times in the same conversation (kudos), which I think led to Joy's response. As someone who has navigated the show under Whoopi's rule, I think Joy was just trying to give Lisa a survival tip for lasting the week. Again, just my "view"... See what I did there? 😉 Be well, everyone.
