I left a very ugly and hateful man of 23 years who abused me physically, mentally, and emotionally, and we had a Son together and I was engaged to him for 15 years and we were together for a total of 23 years until I raised my youngest Son and he had graduated from high school! I left the West Coast and moved to Oklahoma to be closer to my Dad, my HERO, where he was born and raised! Right after I moved here, I bought a really cool Ford Ranger XLT with the most badass rockin'stereo system and speakers and I went to the local Walmart and was flipping through the CD's trying to find some good music to listen to and that is when I saw your CD called, "To Whom it May Concern", this was in October of 2009! I had been deprived of everything and anything that brought me happiness in my life and music has always been a very huge part of my Mom's and my 3 Sister's growing up and my Mom had every single one of Elvis Presley's albums so I pretty much knew a lot of your Dad's song's, my favorite is Kentucky Rain! When I saw your name, I immediately knew that you were Elvis's Daughter but I had no idea that you were a singer and song writer and that you had put out an album but I just grabbed the CD and paid for it and went straight to my new pickup and opened that CD and cranked the volume up! I was so blown away by your beautiful and amazing voice and every lyric hit me straight in my heart! I did find your other two CD's and I listened to SOB over and over and I played that CD until my stereo would keep shooting back out because I had worn it down so far! My Dad passed away 10 months after I moved here and it will be 13 years next month that I made the best move of my entire life, I've tried 3 times to move from Oklahoma and every single time I was right back here in this little hometown of mine within 3 months and this is where I will continue to live but I say, "Thank you Lisa Marie", because it was your song's and your amazing music that helped me through the darkest days of my life! I still listen to your songs and I'm always asking my friends and family if they have ever heard any of your songs and a few have but I have had the pleasure to introduce you to them all and now they're playing your song's and we're watching your videos! Your a beautiful lady inside and out and I wish you much Peace, Love, and Happiness always 🙏💞🙏🔥💯🔥

LMFP was beautiful, smart, cool, funny, nice, down to earth, a rebell, a family person, a great musician and songwriter. I remember hearing a video clip of Lisa Marie singing years ago, and really loving her voice. But I was beyond the age of buying records or CDs anymore and like many people have commented I never really heard much about her after that. One thing I do find though is that I often cannot hear her lyrics when she’s singing, but I love the bands that she has with her, and I love her voice. And she definitely has star quality and stage presence.

I'm the same. Didn't know she had music out until after her death. She could sing. She had her own style. Most songs seem to be about events of her life. This sonģ is about her breakup from MJ and how quickly he moved on to Debbie. But for about 4 yrs they tried to get back together. You saw her with him at many of his concerts and dinners. Look at pix of them. They looked happy. Laughing, joking with big smiles. You don't see that with any of her other 3 marriages. R.I.P. Lisa as you are now with your beloved father, son and MJ.

I think she's simply one of the most sincere singers I've ever heard, his compositions are very sincere and deep, only those who know her story will understand well. Besides being beautiful, has a very strong personality, is not doing anything to the media is, and I find it very hard to be in place because it will always be compared to Elvis, only that people have to understand that her being good need not be another Elvis, but a real Lisa, have the courage to be herself full of personality.

Lisa has good pitch and I agree she has soul. It would have been interesting to see how she could have blossomed with some vocal coaching. Not everyone is a natural born brilliant vocalist, but many have trained their voices to bring them to another level. I think she deserved some help and no one stepped in to advise her. It takes guts to stand in the shadow of Elvis Presley - there will be judgement no matter what.

Lisa Marie Presley, did not quit because she had no talent, she was awesome in her own right no matter what you say, she quit because, people like you saying she was following her Dad's footsteps! But she wasn't, she was great on her on, she wrote her own songs from her heart, I don't think there are any karaoke singers out there that can do that or, they could have been on a music label like she was! She was mediocre at both (mediocre means average) although had every opportunity to show her talents. 2) she didn’t quit. She lost label/economic support (was dropped/fired) because she had insufficient sales. 3) If there is an afterlife, she’s not worrying about KZbin comments. 4) The best thing in her life was also the worst-being Elvis Presley’s daughter. Silver spoons are often toxic. Sadly, her son was harmed by being an aspiring singer/songwriter who was also Elvis Presley’s grandson. These things never work out well. 5) I decline your invitation-it would not please me to willfully hide the truth of a public personality because it might upset some later relative in denial. History outlasts any person’s death. Or feelings. And I haven’t read any criticism of her mothering. That would be too soon.

I have never liked the music but the lyrics are amazing. Raw, honest and piercing. You feel Lisa's pain behind the words. This song is absolutely about MJ getting with Debbie Rowe after their split and DR having his kid. I really hate that it all ended like this for both Lisa and Michael. I truly believe things might be different had they been able to communicate and reconcile with the past. RIP sweet Lisa ❤️

First album i hear her song on the radio i was in PA i love the song right away and voice without knowing who it was when they say who it was i couldnt believe it just stop at the best buy bought the cd album and all after!
