This has happened to me on a few occasions the last one was 5 years ago and I was on the operating table on New Year’s Day. I almost didn’t make it but thank god for the surgeons they where fantastic, they near lost me on the table as I have a terminal lung disease which we where not aware of at the time, I do have a bowel disease which they knew about as I have had 3 separate surgeries to remove parts of the bowel. I know when my bowel is bad as the pain I suffer with it….

Lisamarie was very overweight a few years ago and elected to have bariatric surgery. Adhesions can develop after abdominal surgery and must have caused a kinking & strangulation of the small bowel. She may have had pain for days and just took pain pills to mask the pain. If she had been seen by a surgeon at a hospital when the pain began, she may have had lysis of the adhesions and the bowel freed up. Only God knows....but she's in God's hands now.

I think I remember the news saying that she had woken up the day of the awards with some stomach pain. I have also read that she was using some drastic diet pills and that in six weeks she had lost between 40 and 60 pounds because she wanted to look good for her father at the awards. Losing so much weight so quickly could not have been good for her either, the autopsy results said she had a therapeutic amount of opioids in her system, which I believe means she was not overdosing.

Boy her cause of death reminds me of MauricGibb who died in 2003 of a twisted intestine and had complained about his stomach before he collapsed and passed away in 2003 and here’s the bizarre thing that he was only 53. I know his condition was hereditary and a few years later, Robin had to have surgery for the exact reason Maurice had. Sad part is that the twins developed this condition while their mother was pregnant with them and symptoms usually show up much earlier than what happened with Maurice and Robin. Lisa and Maurice’s condition ended their lives in cardiac arrest.

Lisa Marie did not die from either problem. She had adhesions. Scar tissue from a previous surgery that strangled off the blood supply to her small bowel. She had a therapeutic (small)amount of opioid in her system and she was being monitored after a cosmetic procedure. She died of natural causes.
