NO you stupid fucking idiot. Lisa only helped to write the LYRICS for the music that the BSB producers had made (Sanberg and Yacoub), not the MUSIC. I hate it when people think writing lyrics is writing a song. The lyrics can be replaced by a million other versions of diferent lyrics, it's the MUSIC that matters. It's the MUSIC that makes a song be what it is. A song is only born when the music is made. So, in other words. NO she did NOT write this song and "give to BSB".

She is definitely beautiful and talented. But BSB’s version is an iconic earworm and provokes an emotional reaction from their fans when they hear it. Lisa version is poppy and catchy but not in the same league as the BSB single.

Different? Yes. Better? No. BSB’s version is iconic and emotional. It makes people feel. It makes them remember and cry. Her version is poppy and catchy, like Sting’s original recording of Fields of Gold. But what he sang pales in comparison to Eva Cassidy’s wistful, melancholy cover.

Without her, there is no Shape of My Heart and the Backstreet Boys don’t have one of their most iconic singles and arguably their best song. So, show her the respect that she’s deservedly earned!!

Better? Very, very few people who are not already fans of hers would agree. The BSB version is iconic and is arguably one of their best, if not the greatest, song that they have ever sang. Lisa’s version is catchy and poppy but nowhere close to being in the same league. It would have been really interesting to hear what the late, great Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle could have done covering both versions of Shape of My Heart.
