All this will do will push people giving up smoking back on to cigarettes I worked in a vape shop we had an issue with kids steeling them The reusable cost more money to use you have to buy coils vape juice and you have to charge them I prefer disposable it stoped me smoking after 30 years And I have cancer I’m waiting for treatment so I don’t want to smoke cigarettes again thanks!

Truly unbelievable that she was asked what's to stop young people switching to refillables but not what's to stop them switching to cigarettes. This will make the by far highest risk nicotine product vastly more convenient and accessible than the far lower risk alternative. We are switching from a successful tobacco harm minimization strategy to a harm maximization one.

The biggest problem with disposable vapes is that most of them are 20MG which is 2% nicotine - Parents who would rather buy their children vapes do not necessarily know that these disposables are the highest legal limit for nicotine devices in the UK. Yes I am a Vaper and I use a refillable device that works similarly to the Disposables but I change the tank regularly rather than throwing the whole thing away - I vape at 6mg 0.6% nicotine. I think education is better than outright banning something - notice how Suzanna didn't mention completely banning smoking because the government makes considerable amounts of TAX revenue from that and would create even more of a black hole in the public finances. Smokers contribute more in taxes than they take out from the NHS yearly which is a clear fact - NHS spends £2.6b a year on smoking related illness treatment and tobacco taxes generate £8.8b a year. Educate parents and children properly. I am not against banning Disposables - what should happen here though is there should be better education for parents and children to know more about the levels of nicotine they are consuming. Nicotine just like caffeine should not be consumed by anyone under age.
