She's strict, but not an asshole which is good, I've seen some mentors, music mentors in my case and others calling names, and really putting the students down. I think Lisa is doing a perfect balance of it, she's being strict, but she's not being an asshole, she probably had mentors that called her names and such in the past for sure too.

I agree, if you have passion for something you get serious about doing it right, so imagine teaching this thing to others with less experience than you, she is a dance mentor, so she's focused on the details of the piece they're working on to make sure they deliver the best of their potential and learn to expand their abilities. She has an eagle eye. She is able to find out even the tiniest of mistake and finds out who did it and exactly what moment went wrong and she is a perfectionist, she has a way of how the dance should go and she will make sure the dance goes that way. No flaws and no going easy on them. She is serious in her job and makes sure they learn something at the end of the day. And the fact that the haters are mocking her for her language inability. She is trying her best and definitely she also feels uncomfortable being around new people and a new culture and new language. The least we can do is appreciate her for her efforts. If she had wanted she could take this easy and not do this but she sincerely wants them to improve. BRAVO! I am extremely inspired by her and the amount of hard work she puts in every thing. They're so lucky to have Lisa as a dance teacher. It's not just because Lisa is their fav artist but it's about how good and genius dancer she is. Lisa can dance in a lot of styles (hip-hop, Poppin, girly, sexy, etc.). That's why she can fix their dance move and knows how to make it great. Seriously, they're so lucky. Lisa's got a point tho. Pro dancers can memorize a dance choreo in 1 hour and polish it in a day. Given they are not pro dancers but dancing is a big part of this competition and that choreography is still fairly easy so yup, 4 days is reasonably long enough to polish their choreo, esp if they are really serious to win in this show.

thats true but I'm still confused since some of them dance better then some blackpink members. Jisoo isnt rlly good at dancing and still made. I think when creating a group they are looking for many factors. Looking at my favourite group they are always 1-3 who cant dance rlly well 1-3 who dance rlly well and the rest is average imo (numbers depending on the group size e.g. Lisa dances rlly well Rose and Jennie are imo average and Jisoo is..kinda bad lol shes still my favourite tho). Ofc there are groups out there in which everyone's dance is on point but for various groups thats not the case

I am a dance captain for my crew as well as an amateur choreographer. Watching Lisa mentor is blowing my mind. I cannot say this enough. Her talent and eye for details is amazing. Whenever I would see something I normally would stop my teammates for, she jumped on it right away and taught it perfectly. I'm literally taking notes from her, she's such a good mentor! Edit: As to those mocking her language ability, lemme just say this: Learning a language is hard. Especially when learning it as a celebrity and as an adult. So her level of fluency is already admirable because people spend several years learning one language and can't really understand it and speak it well, but she has achieved semi fluency already.

Frehdi ][ this is just what I have been thinking, we all know that the kpop industry are more restrictive on foreign idols, so why wouldn’t she start her own company when she is such an passionate kpop idol, she also seems to be preparing for when her contract is up, she has her own KZbin channel which is her own way to promoting her talents, she has be working with lots of choreographer and videographers that don’t work with yg, she has been studying photography and has already realeased her own photobook that she designed herself, and she is developing her own fashion line, it’s like she is in preparation for being without yg.

It takes a lot of discipline and hard work. I can tell that Lisa was still being easy on them coz it's just their first class. The girls won't get better if she won't be pushing them to their limits. lets take a break and critique what Lisa herself is critiquing which are the trainees. From Lisa's perspective I can see what she is talking about. The concept is sexy but I am not feeling it from the group. Sexiness is subjective but there are a few qualities we can easily critique. The dancing felt just a bit awkward... all the girls were dancing like they are the center. They all try to move their body seductively without much technique which is what dancers need to show in order to catch people's attention. Sure people can dance around a pole and try to dance sexy but the WOW factor comes in when people can see you using some hard techniques on the pole to pull it off. And also when it comes to group dances when everyone gets a few seconds to be center, you gotta dial it down and focus on formation and synchronization with the background dancers so that the center can shine better. From all the videos I've watched of Mentor Lisa on this show, the thing Lisa is always repeating is TEAMWORK. Lack of teamwork SHOWS. It's important to have a unified concept (when she talked about combining boyish and sexy concept together), helping out teammates who do worse (recent group which Lisa was very happy with), and hours and hours of practice together (which she emphasized in the first trainee video and this one).

Lisa really reminded me back then when my instructor will ask me if I have studied enough and I’ll just stare and not answer.
