Truth is, Lisa never fit in and thought she was better than the other staff. She was used to being on-air talent and was relegated to doing the news there which she also thought was beneath her. That rubbed everyone the wrong way and when things would blow up, Howard would protect Lisa because he knew she couldn't survive in that lion's den and didn't want any larger (ie, corporate HR) issues popping up between Lisa and the back office staff.

Hmmmm, it was mentioned that lisa was litigious; she was angry at jason for bullying but seemed to imply an unspoken sexual harassment aspect invoking stalker like terms: "obsessed" and "creepy" to her framing, while threatening to involve a 3rd party. Then in a segment from the same time period howard does an on-air bit intentionally misrepresenting lisa's interactions w/ artie as sexual harrassment. Everybody chipped in their agreement in this seemingly planned bit. It was all played as a joke, but i sense this was howards attempt to shield jason and subtly warn lisa that 2 could play this game.
