Affection is the debut solo album by British singer Lisa Stansfield, released by Arista Records on 20 November 1989. Stansfield co-wrote all songs with Ian Devaney and Andy Morris. Devaney and Morris also produced the album, except for "This Is the Right Time" which was produced by Coldcut. Affection received critical acclaim from music critics and was commercially successful. It reached top ten on the charts in many countries and has sold over five million copies worldwide. The album spawned a hit song, "All Around the World", and four other successful singles: "This Is the Right Time", "Live Together", "What Did I Do to You?" and "You Can't Deny It".

Lisa did an outstanding job on this debut. It's her best by far. 1989 was such a great. Janet Jackson also released 'Rhythm Nation 1814' that same year n we already know that was phenomenal n a big hit...

Such a great artist, to the very top... among the bestest. Joss Stone, Mica Paris, Amy Winehouse, Kate Bush, Sade, Annie Lennox, Carmel.. this is where she belongs. Not only that, but also a nice person. Among the nicest ones I ever met. It was a while ago, but never shall I forget her.

I STILL ADORE LISA, THIS WAS HER FIRST ALBUM, I STILL HAVE THE CASSETTE TAPE. FOUND A DVD AT GOOD WILL, IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. I KEEP IT IN MY CAR, STILL JAMMING. I LOVE HER VOICE AND STYLE. SHE IS THE REAL DEAL. I GOT HER FIRST AND 2ND DVD. I LOVE EVERY SONG.
