I've just noticed after years how, most likely, the twisted and almost psychedelic part represents Brad's drug and trauma fueled rage, while the beginning and the eroic passages stand for Rando, the actual hero who's doing what Brad could never do, who coped with his own traumas by looking up to the man who's now too mad to even (arguably) recognize him when he's become as strong as him. Truly haunting storytelling through the track

I think whole song represents Rando: Guitar is Dustin's tough nature, while Strings is the fact that Rndo still child in his soul (and he is, like, twenty in the game) And psychodelic part is mixed emotions of Rando being forced to fight his dad that doesn't even recognize him
