Great video! I would also love to see you do makeup on a mature woman with eye bags and dark circles. I have the eye bags and it’s so difficult to conceal that because of the shadow underneath. Just love watching all your videos and you are so articulate in explaining methods. Hope you have a wonderful holiday!

Great suggestion, Martha! I'd love to see this demonstrated, as well. Dealing with not just dark circles but very noticeable bags under the eyes on an over 55 face (complete with droopy hooded eyes). It has become my biggest challenge in doing my makeup.

I can’t say enough how much I love these videos. I love using Armani corrector in apricot, then skip concealer and trust my full cover IT Full Coverage Foundation to cover the corrector on the under eye. Skipping the concealer helps with wrinkles and fine lines. And, that IT ByeBye Pores powder in the very smallest amt under the eyes, this whole system has turned out to be my very best under eye answer. It’s taken me over a year to work it out, but I’ve finally found my best look for under eye. Well, I didn’t mention that the under eye must be well moisturized.
@nonilady15775 жыл бұрын
Liz Miller thank you for your technique with under eye correction. I too use the Armani corrector and been using the Armani concealer. But you’re saying you use the it bye bye foundation? May I ask which one?

@Liz Miller, will this work well for over 40-50? Actually I'm over 60 and still looking for a great undereye answer other than something drastic like surgery. Hence the sunglasses in all my photos! Thanks for sharing!

Yes, please continue the series! Also, glad to see that you conceal before foundation. When I was in my teens I started wearing makeup but, I didn’t want to look like a clown, so I would read all kinds of magazines and books to help teach me. I remember one book or magazine saying to put on concealer before your foundation, which is what I have been doing for nearly 25 years until recently when I started watching youtube for makeup tips. I thought I was doing wrong for all these years. Honestly, I like how my makeup looks so much more when I conceal first. Thank you Lisa!

Loving this series Lisa! The uber tiny Elf concealer brush has been my savior during my forties, puts the smallest amount of coverage only where I need it. Also, if you let the concealer that you have placed over a blemish or spot dry for 60 seconds before blending, you will get better "grip" and coverage.

Thank you Lisa. Yes, more of these make up trick videos. I have been doing my make up since junior high, but concealing my under eye dark shadows is often the most difficult. I did purchase a coral color corrector, but I haven't used it lately because mostly, I find too much product under my eyes makes creases. I am middle age. But the technique of patting the color corrector and then applying a light weight concealer over it using the beauty blender may work. I will give that a try.

Love this kind of video. Any tips to make texture from acne scarring less visible?
@lizmiller76815 жыл бұрын
I’ve found that the IT Bye Bye Pores powder helps to lessen the appearance of any and all texture on the skin more than anything else that I’ve tried, and I’ve tried a lot. But if you use too much, it ends up emphasizing the texture. Derma rolling, over the long term, seems to be an effective self-treatment that can really, really help. But you have to be patient, diligent, and careful. And, you have to be willing to use rollers with needles of about at least 1mm in length to get the depth to affect the scarring and rebuild the healing skin tissue. Do your research and a lot of it.
@AMDG_-nk2dp5 жыл бұрын
Amy Johnson, please look into microcurrent skin therapy. Some wholistic doctors do this frequency therapy in their office, and many dermatologists do this therapy in their office. It can be helpful for wrinkles, skin dexterity issues, tighter and more refined firm skin toning on the face and I believe acne scarring issues. It even helps with eye vision and visual acuity. I used to go to an office that has this. It all depends on the problem you have as to where they place the electrodes, or diodes. A plus or bonus of this therapy is that it's completely NON-INVASIVE. Hope this helps. Jean.

I have such a hard time with this (used IT paddle & round, MAC paddle & BM Kabooki and angled flat brushes) and have to resort to a sponge, so as not to drag & skip the application around on my face. Hi Lisa, thanks for sharing what you learned when you were a makeup artist for MAC with all of us. It's much appreciated. By any chance, do you know have to apply pressed powder to the forehead area and "bake" that area in order to help conceal (lightly hide) stress lines on the forehead? I've heard about this makeup trick and would love to see someone demonstrate it. I am in my 50's, have taken great care of my skin all of my life but unfortunately, I still developed stress lines on my forehead. I'm so embarrassed by them and avoid taking pictures. I sometimes wear bangs but my forehead is so small that I have to wear side bangs and my lines still show. I also am deathly afraid of using Botox and wouldn't be able to afford the upkeep anyways. Thank you for any advice and video you can give and do.

Love this. I use UD Naked Skin (pink) for very dark circles. I don’t know if there is anything to it but I have found that if I let it ‘set up’ and go finish my eyes that when I am ready to finish with foundation, it’s covered and doesn’t move. I don’t need to use concealer anymore which is good bc as I get older, I’m not a fan of them on my skin.

I can find NO concealer that doesn’t make my crepe corner of eye look worse. Should I just give up or do you have a suggestion? Currently trying to use the Age Rewind because it is really light. I still don’t care for the look. I’m really frustrated. I’m 57 and skin around eye is very loose. Especially on the right eye. I think I should maybe use a green color corrector first because I have red around my eyes. Thank you!
@goodlife4595 жыл бұрын
Age rewind is a great product because it treats and covers. Other treatment things that might help that you can wear underneath is an eye cream or serum with caffeine (tightens and manages redness) and hyaluronic acid (holds moisture and plumps) Then apply a primer (fills/smoothes) Then green colour corrector.

Same. I've used drug store all the way through extreme luxury brands. I've had some success with Bobbi Brown Intensive Skin Serum Concealer and No 7 Lift & Luminate Serum Concealer. bareMinerals stick (BarePro) only works if you use a small sponge to blend. And there is no way I can use that much product under my eyes.

Thanks Lisa! This is so helpful; I've been trying to cover blemishes and dark circles without any success. I have one question for you. I notice that when I use a damp beauty blender, I often get a weird spotty texture. I assume it's the way the water reacts with the product. I thought that beauty blenders/sponges are always used damp. Is that correct? And do you have any suggestions for getting the products around my eye from not caking and getting the uneven texture? Thanks Lisa!
@LenoraRoseen5 жыл бұрын
You may be leaving too much water in the Beauty Blender. Even after squeezing out as much as I can, I sometimes still blot mine on a towel before using it to apply product. It only needs to be the slightest bit damp.
