Absolutely love the MAC paint pots, both as a base and a nice, simple and easy wash of color. The bronzer trick is GENIUS. This was so good. My favorite tip was going back in with a little bit of light weight foundation, which I wear on my skin, to get those spots that need a little extra coverage. That way you don’t have heavy foundation all over just in the needed areas. Thanks Adrienne and Lisa 😃

Hi there beautiful! I agree that less is more. I quit using dark eye shadows, brown lipsticks too! As we age, black eyeliner closes in most of our eyes. I still have friends that wear it all around their eyes at my age. It all depends on our personal skin and texture. I was watching Good Morning America this am, saw where someone was wearing a foundation that made her look aged by 6-8 years :( Lite pinks, nude (same as our lips) is a perfect shade for us mature aging ladies! It is all a preference. What I don't understand, why all of the filters with YTers and people uploading photos? Yes, we all want to look younger but that isn't who we are. God gave us the skin we wear, and to love ourselves, not to be someone that we aren't. I follow maybe 7-8 YTers. none that is out to sell a brand. I love that you are so real to your subscribers. Lisa made me try it. I do follow Risa Does Makeup, she never answers many questions. I love your style, makeup and personality. You are a beautiful young lady, even my husband said so. :) Xoxo

What an absolutely gorgeous women!! I agree wholeheartedly with lighter foundation for more mature skin and emphasizing your favorite features. I’ve heard from a few that older women (over 40 and I hate the term mature..LOL) should not apply blush to the apples of the cheeks; especially those who have volume loss and may have some sagging. I haven’t experienced this yet, but is this true? Also, I have severe redness and with using light coverage foundation, what is the best way to cover and still get to enjoy the beautiful blushes I love?? Thank you for watching and great question! I personally love blush on the apples of the cheeks. However, if you have rosacea on the cheeks, I would try out the "stippling technique" with a foundation brush demonstrated in the video. The one I specifically used in the tutorial was the Retractable Foundation Brush by Beautycounter. My website link is in the description box. :) Anyway, use the stippling technique with your foundation. Set with loose powder . Then use a neutral or peachy pink blush versus a pink/rosy blush, so that the rosacea is not overly emphasized. I hope this was helpful. Loved this tutorial. I have a question about the eyebrow technique. Can you clarify how the shadow and pencil are used? Is it one or the other? Both? Thanks.

Thanks for watching and great question! I first used the brown shadow with an angled eyeliner brush to fill in my brows because my brows are light and need shaping. Then I filled in a little bit afterwards with a dark brown brow pencil to fill in any noticeable gaps. You generally do not need both products for shaping and filling in brows, but I like how it looks on me. :) * Note: A brow gel is great to tame fuller brows. There are tinted brow gels to not only tame but give color to brows , which may have color fade due to aging. I hope this helps!
