In a 2-3 day Lisbon itinerary, you have the opportunity to visit all of Lisbon's main tourist attractions and comfortably enjoy the beautiful atmosphere of the city. A three-day trip to Lisbon will also allow you to explore the main historical neighborhoods such as Belém, Rossio, Chiado, Alfama, Baixa, Bairro Alto. It also offers the opportunity to take a day trip, for example, to the UNESCO-listed Sintra and the old fishing village of Cascais, which is now a Portuguese tourist destination famous for its beaches, notable for its marina and lively harbours. If you want to add some relaxation time to the beaches of the Atlantic Ocean, you can easily spend a full week in Lisbon and its surroundings. There's no need to book a day trip to Sintra or a trip to Cascais or Cristo do Rei separately, as you'll be able to easily visit all these major sights and things to do in Lisbon with public transport. Another travel tip would be to take a trip from Lisbon to Porto to the Algarve. For surfers, it is best to go to Lisbon in winter (due to the big waves). Travelers who consider their budget will probably make their choices around January and February (these are the cheapest months). Beach lovers and those who are fond of the sun and warm weather should go to Lisbon in July, August and September; These months are the hottest months.

Alas, sad that Europe pretty much expects tips now, especially from Americans. We're forced to tip whether we like it or not in the U.S. Sometimes a 20-30% tip is already included in the bill if you have a large party. If the service was spectacular, then you deserve it. If service was awful and I'm forced to tip, then I'm never coming back.

You're never forced to tip. It's always a choice, if you feel you are being forced then I'd look at your self and stop assuming we Europeans are FORCING Americans to tip us.!

@@stephenconnolly2582 When the restaurant hands you the bill and ask if you would like to leave a tip I feel that I need to. That being said, if the food was absolutely delicious and the service was wonderful I figure why not. Only happened once here in Porto. This restaurant is called Tia Tia. I was in Lisbon the week before and never tipped. And I didn't feel guilty. In Rome, some restaurant bills have a line to add a tip. That's what saddened me. But that's a very touristy city. I know Europe is so much better than the U.S. when it comes to tipping. So don't ever come to the U.S. and expect not to tip. It's an obligation there.

@@Haupialani exactly you feel.you need to so that is not been forced to tip. You can easily say no thank you. Your feelings and forced are two different things. I travel alot and spend enough time in the us and know what you mean lol
