I've been to Lisbon and I believe the Roman's built the Aqueducts. Any Portuguese to add to the discussion ? Also, the nice old buildings were built from the wealth generated by their colonization of the New World and S.E.Asia Including pockets of Africa and India

The peaceful streets were because you were there very early or, not during full tourist season. I was there the beginning of June, and over a month, I saw the crowds and prices increase. I’m going back at the same time again. 😁 My favorite Portuguese food, in Lisbon was made by a cook from Bangladesh. He used more spices. When you go back, they tell you, you can ask for more seasonings. I’m allergic to pork and eggs so, like a lot of Europe, I have to make sure there’s no pork and eggs in dishes I wouldn’t expect. Everywhere I went in Portugal, people were very accommodating. I love the diversity!

Asalam alaikum brother, I appreciate your vlog with much information related to the Moorish influence the impact in these countries the Moors the Arab African Muslims who in history as you said credited for much knowledgeable teachings in many aspects of creation education science medicine surgeries arithmetic etc... way before the Greek another story. They conquered España remained for over 800 years and after the christians took over Muslims still stayed in Granada for another 400 years and the extensive battles with the Ottoman Turkish trying to conquest Spain which they eventually withdrew through retreat. So,.Portugal was part of our Islamic conquestistas from Spain. They've left amazing historical ancient Fortress architecture all around the world.Thanks again for sharing this also perhaps you've had the opportunity to visit in metropolitan area the intrigraded community with Pakistani, Afghanis, Syrian, middle eastern in Lisbon beautiful mosque alhumdulillah. Thank you for sharing great information in your content. Your vlogs are very great, including cultural aspects, not only history but delicious traditional food 👍lol they drive mostly stick shift in Pakistan 🤭. Best wishes

Salaam brother Myer, thank you so much for this video 😊 Even though I've been to Portugal on four occasions, thrice in Madeira, once in Albufeira, I'll be visiting Lisbon for the first time ever to vlog come May. I found your guide most informative & you have a charming & concise way of presenting the facts & your experiences to the viewer, which many will find useful, not just myself! Did you get a chance to visit Martim Moniz where its a predominately South Asian populated area? Call me a colonial cousin, a fellow Desi, British Bangladeshi living in Ireland! I also watched your Sintra video with Yes!Experiences & I enjoyed that one too. I visited their website but was unable to find info for that trip. May I ask how much it was please as I'm going to suggest it to my friends? I hope to hear from you soon & have a wonderful week my friend 🤗

21:54 "There's a place here called Seher Palace. They offer a lot of local dishes." 😂 It is funny how this Pakistani guy advertises a Portuguese typical food restaurant, but the offered food is Spanish paella, American burgers and Italian pizza and lasagna. Once again the Portuguese are making something foreign their own.

I don't think the Moors who conquered the Iberian peninsular looked like sub Saharan Africans as depicted in the video. They were a Caucasian race, like the present day Berbers of North Africa.

God forbid dark skinned people had an impact on history huh?
@Koko708168 ай бұрын
@@myertravels Yes, but the majority north africans aren't black. You have visited Morocco, therefore, you should know that. In Spain, they still call moroccans, moros, and in Portugal, mouros. You should definetly visit the tamazight speaking regions in Morocco and know more about the indigenous population. Indeed, Moroccans are mostly of native descent who have adopted the arabic language, although darija is not understood by arabs. Their accent and vocabulary is based on their native language., tamazight, as well as spanish and french.

no. just because you grew up with a phone in your hand doesn't give you the right to video people outside their home in public. That's such an arrogant American statement. Respect others. Just because you have a KZbin channel 🙄 doesn't make you that special.
