Each dancer brings her own personal flair and charm to the role. It was a pleasure to watch them perform the difficult role which requires great timing as well as technique. ❤❤❤

During the past uncertain times which we all have gone through - - and still we are in the throes of this crisis - - I unexpectedly saw - - Nina Kaptsova on KZbin - - dancing one of the Coppelia Variations. I don't know much about ballet - - but I believed - - Nina Kaptsova danced that variation - - so perfectly well❗She's an excellent ballet dancer - - Kaptsova ❗

She is great in any role and an excellent actor. I thought I saw the best Tatiana in Eugene Onegin then I saw a video of her as Tatiana- heartbreaking and excellent. 💔❤

@ Cynthia Fletcher - - how wonderful would have been to see her perform - - live on stage! My friends and i - - do really appreciate - - your profound knowledge and experience - - of seeing these wonderful ballet dancers. However - - I am really just a novice - - in understanding the world of ballet.

@@candidacarino669 Thank you for your lovely response and just keep watching videos to learn more about ballet. When you have an opportunity, try to go to a live performance. ( I can't wait. ) Going back to Nina, she danced with the Bolshoi of Russia. I am not sure of her present status but her performances are from the heart and truly memorable. Enjoy, C 💕💕💕

We live in a regional area - - of New South Wales Australia - - and just to state the obvious - - we went to see the film - - Dream Horse - - there were just 9 of us on that particular night. Perhaps after this pandemic passes over - - I must go to see an Australian Ballet dance in Sydney. Btw I saw on video - - Kaptsova and Skvortsov who danced the "Onegin". And they're both superb ballet dancers most definitely. I love the way Kaptsova dances. And as for Pyotor Ilyich Tchaikovsky - - his Piano Concerto No. 1 in B-flat minor - - and oh the beginning of the piece - - and the ending - - I love Tchaikovsky - - always! Thanks again @ Cynthia Fletcher.

Natasha was lack of the elegance of Lise, but her arms were amazing, especially 2:39. Nela was good, but unfortunately she did not have the smoothness I've seen in her other performances. Her upper body wasn't stiff this time though. Nina is my favorite here, both the fluidity and elegance were perfect.

Osipova has the best jumps and turns of course. However, the best overall in my opinion is Mariela Nunez. Her individual style is best suited to the role and she shows the most charm.

Kaptsova is perfect . . . . light, playful, and unaffected. Nela uses her trademark phrasing and musicality, but it is too studied for this part. Osipova is good, but doesn’t capture my fancy like Kaptsova.

They are All wonderful. However I choose Nina K because she seems to embody the music. Making her more suited for the movement aesthetically. Nunez is EVER the consummate technician.(She makes everything look simple). Natalia O. is super athletic which pulls away from the gracefulness that is needed.

All lovely. But Kaptsova has an airy quality that really fits the music. Marianela doesn't hit the music right. It seems like she's late. Osipova is great, but not as good as Kaptsova in my opinion.

hi can somebody explain to me-weren’t Bolshoi and ROH supposed to exchange ballets between each other-Bolshoi should get a permission to perform Fille mal gardee by ROH and ROH was supposed to get a permission to perform Romeo and Juliet by Bolshoi but at the end it didn’t happen... why was that the case?

Kapstova is the best ! Nunez is not right for this role, Osipova she isn’t graceful like kapstova
@rivermountain73153 жыл бұрын
It is one thing to perform a role and it is another to embody it not only with the technical ability and control which each of these lovely ladies have but for me, since I have both danced professionally myself and played the cello for years, Musicality and "Phasing" are two things which sets those who have mastered them along with all the other requirements and expectations ahead of the pack! Nela the belle of the ball as usual is the woman unbeatable and unstoppable! Kaptsova is also lovely but the other one...what's her name? I'm writing and can't see it! Osipova, that's it, seems to always have that strained forehead look, where her eyebrows are pulled way up to her hairline, especially when she does multiple pirouettes or other turns requiring a bit more concentration. Not pretty and it makes me feel stressed just looking at her face! That's my opinion and not everyone has to agree with me! But of course I do stand by what I have written!
@The444traveler3 жыл бұрын
I agree with what your saying tho it may come off as a bit harsh to some. N.O is a Great ballerina dancer but she does weirdly make me feel anxious at times viewing her.. She's much more athletic than graceful imo but SHE DELIVERS in her roles. That surprised strain look does agitate me (even Eugenia O. does the same facial expressions) but it's usually quelled by N.O's amazing ability to own her jumps, turns, extensions, and movement. She was a gymnast before a dancer so that would explain her athleticism/ jumping prowess. Gymnastics & Ballet are related somewhat yet very different muscle usages.
@rivermountain73153 жыл бұрын
@@The444traveler I'm not saying the woman can't hold her own but for me the process in getting to that which we hope is a picture perfect moment, a stop the camera recording right now moment, is what she bothers me with! Tension in her face for me means that she is not relaxed enough or secure enough in what your doing, when clearly she should be. Maybe she should take some 5HTP or some magnesium before she hits the stage. In any case when I want to see a completely professional, seasoned and thouroughly polished ballerina, who knows how to work an audience and be all present on the stage upon which she reigns, I look no further than Nela the belle of them all.
@The444traveler3 жыл бұрын
I hear you@@rivermountain7315. Def agree... Nela IS🔥!!! YET that full description you waxed poetic about Nela starting from, "In any case when I want to see..." I personally would attribute to none other than, "SYLVIE GUILLEM" , the Belle of them ALL!🙌 Just my opinion. Different strokes, different 'ballerina loving' folks.👍
@rivermountain73153 жыл бұрын
@@The444traveler Oh Miss Guillem was and probably still is awesome but the control that Nela still does have and the perfection of phrasing and timing even our gifted diva Sylvia cannot touch her in those areas. Legs and extensions probably but now a days who doesn't have legs for days! Nela makes you forget about all that and holds you fast with just her everything else that no one else has but herself! Let's compare some more! This is fun!

Nunez definitrly the others dont understand the Ashton style Kaptsova s messed with the choreography and why so slow tempo . Osipova totally ignores the music so important with Ashton!! She fares better with Macmillan as she is not lyrical enough for the Ashton style too flashy.

I just love Natasha's playfulness with the role, it gives it such a special and unique quality. But also Nela's charm is perfect for Lise--I saw the full version with her and while the synopsis made me think that it was just going to be a silly, uninteresting ballet, Nela sold it so wonderfully that I was completely dazzled by the end. Unfortunately, I don't care much for Kaptsova's interpretation, but to each their own, I suppose.
