0:33 that's the thing! IF he can play like this... jack is having moments of brilliance all the time and usually they are followed by mediocre and average performance from him. No doubt he can win if he plays like this but time and time again we see that the proverbial IF fails to make an appearance.

Yes and what you mention applies to many snooker players. Matthew Stevens twice reached the World Championship finals. He never made the most of his talent. Barry Hawkins has underachieved. Stephen Maguire? Luca Brecel? Arguably all those players have underachieved due to lack of consistency. Brecel's form has collapsed since winning the WC but ability wise he can win many tournaments.

Really was a great performance. Selby didn’t make too many mistakes and every single one lead to Lisowski clinching a frame. In frame 4 for example, when Selby misjudged that the three reds in the middle of the table were too close together, Lisowski got back into the game with a strong clearance. It should have been 0:4 in the interval, instead this small mistake gave him a lifeline. It’s a testament to the standard of the game nowadays, that one single miss with otherwise 97% potted balls in the first 4 frames can cost you a best-of-11. 👍
