Although they weren't my favorite team, the late 80's/early 90's Portland teams really grew on me. To see Duckworth, Kersey, and Robinson on this list is sad. May all these guys be in a much better place and may they rest in peace.

Even though I didn't know a lot of these players, I still felt bad seeing each and everyone of them, especially the ones that died too young at like under 50, or even those who died younger, at like under 30 :(. Really sucks to know that a guy that you remember playing in the nba just a few years ago is now dead... like Rasual Butler and Adreian Payne.

They left off a friend of mine...Eddie Johnson, brother of Frank Johnson who played in San Antonio I believe. Fast Eddie Johnson played at Auburn University and was drafted by the Atlanta Hawks, he was a 2 time NBA All Star he was traded to Cleveland late in his Career. RIP Eddie

Where is Mike Mitchel. Played 11 years in the NBA . The second best scorer in the Spurs team history besides Iceman George Gervin died in 2011 He was 55 years of age He averaged over 19 points a game. The sixth best scorer in the Spurs history.

Also, some more ABA players: Marvin Barnes, Johnny Neumann, Warren Jabali, Wendell Ladner, George Thompson, Zelmo Beatty, Larry Miller, and Sam Smith. Also, possibly, John Brisker, who mysteriously vanished in Uganda in 1978 and was declared legally dead in 1985 (but no one really knows for sure).
