Yrs ago I sang this for the Wedding of two of my Dearest friends. I picked this song out of many because it spoke to me of how they both felt about Jesus and in turn each other. They are both serving God and He has become a Pastor who tells the message of how Christ changed his life. They both have a heart for God..and have grown so much in Him. Thanks for sharing this song on here. It still ministers to me,and it's still how I feel about my Savior. God Bless!

God does not do bad things to us. His Word states clearly that He plans to "prosper us and not to harm us." And the thief (the devil) comes to steal kill and destroy. God does not "allow" us to get beat up every day. The devil attacks us but God works all things out for our good. It all started with Lucifer (the devil) when he rebelled against God. After that, he deceptively convinced Eve (and Adam who was with her) to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and that brought sin and evil into the world. But God is our ever present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1). And if you call on Him (God), He will help you. Does that answer your question?

I don't claim to know everything but I have learned this:This life is filled with pain because of the fall at the beginning of time. So naturally, this world will throw us some curve balls. And Satan will always take an opportunity to attack us. But it isn't God's fault. It's just the nature of this world. So it doesn't really do us much good to ask why. It's kind of like if you were to stick your hand in a fire. When you stick your hand in a fire it doesn't do much good to ask "why did it burn me?" The fire is hot so it will burn you every time you stick your hand in there. It is the nature of the fire. Just like at the beginning of time when Adam and Eve who were human just like the rest of us, brought pain into the world by committing the first sin of disobedience, which we call "the fall". It doesn't do us much good to ask why we have sin and pain in the world because we already know the answer. And it's because of what Adam and Eve started in the garden at the beginning of time. And they did that because God created us with free will, and He gave them a choice between good or evil and they chose to disobey so, because of human nature, evil was brought into the world. And God gave us free will, because He wanted a people who would love him by choice and not because we have to. We already know that the fire is going to burn us, because it is the nature of the fire. This world is going to hurt, or, "burn" us because it is the nature of the world. God never promised us that we would not have trials because, again that is the very nature of this world. But He did however, promise that He would never leave us nor forsake us, which does not mean we won't have trials, or a promise of never getting "burned" by the world, but it means that God will be there for us to walk us through the fires of life and be with us as we come out on the other side, then brushing off the ashes for us and healing us, making us stronger than we were before we went through it. So take heart. Some day we will be alive with God in Heaven and we won't have to go through those painful fires any longer. :)
