I just bought a JC5 about 6 weeks ago. I insisted when it came in that we we test it in the store to make sure it worked. I didn't want to take it home and have it not work and then get blamed for doing something wrong (to be fair when I told them this they looked at me with confusion - they really were/are about customer service - but, I am paranoid when it comes to money : ) ). Anyway - it came in and we tested it with 2 sets of speakers - the higher end was from Sonus Faber ....... Sonic perfection personified !!! I am not sure how they offer this type of quality for this amount of money. And, I have No/nada affiliation with this company. I would bet you would have to spend 3 times the amount I paid to get the same sound quality. Fair warning - I prefer the sound of solid state to that of tubes (I have my own reasons that I will not bore you with) ..... so there is that consideration. If I ever want to go to a bi-amp setup I am just going to buy another one without thought. Thanks Olson's hifi.

It seems that many JC5 owners don't know about or forget about the Halo line flagship JC1 mono blocks. Also, that poor amp is going to cook itself with no breathing room on top to dissipate the heat from 12watts of class A bias. That's about 300 watts of heat at idle which needs to be dissipated.

Those are the exact Kef Reference speaker stands that one can purchase from Kef. They are very expensive. I own a pair as they fit perfectly. Expensive but worth it if you can get a little discount from a dealer...
