24:08 Funny that you mentioned Lana Del Rey x Arctic Monkeys because it technically ALMOST happened. Alex Turner (lead singer and guitarist of Arctic Monkeys) has a second band called The Last Shadow Puppets with co-frontman Miles Kane (another awesome indie musician). I’m pretty sure around 2017 The Last Shadow Puppets and Lana Del Rey started making an album together but unfortunately didn’t end up happening. Some songs that were gonna be on the album Lana Del Rey ended up releasing herself anyway. “Dealer” by her features Miles Kane and at the start of another song of hers “California” you can hear Alex Turner count to 4 very quietly.

The Arctic monkeys are a phenomenal band Alex turner is a lyrical genius and they are a band that formed in 2004 in Sheffield England, the band is a alternative indie rock with their nervy tunes and their old music is more pure rock but with this album AM Alex wanted to make more of a r&b and rock album.. all of this is coming from a big fan they are my favorite band on the planet!! There is 7 albums the album your on right now is the 5th but Alex turners lyrics are so deep but so goofy at the same time like he can say the weirdest thing but if you think about it it’s so deep. I love watching you metri so I hope you listen to some more Arctic monkey tunes!

Arctic Monkeys is one of the top British if not THE top British band. They formed in 2002 when Alex Turner (Lead Vocalist + Lyricist) was handed a guitar at the age of fifteen. Members include: Alex Turner (Lead Vocalist + Lyricist + Guitarist) Matt Helders (Drums + Back Vocals) Nick Omalley (Guitar + Back Vocals) Jamie Cook (Guitarist) They've been making music since 2002 all the way to 2022. They're all from Sheffield Yorkshire and they were all friends in school. When starting their band, they took inspo from The Strokes and Oasis. The first 4 studio albums by the Arctic Monkeys were #1 in Britain and their fifth album was #1 in the States. The name 'Arctic Monkeys' was just a silly name Jamie Cook came up with but it stuck. You should totally listen to more of their work because every single one of their albums is COMPLETELY different from the other. Great stuff! The album you just reacted to is called AM which was released in 2013. This is their fifth album which got #1 on the billboard in the States (i think). If you look closely at the album cover, you can see the letters 'AM' in the middle of it. As for the content of the album, Alex Turner has written it about his past lover Alexa Chung of four years. It's very obvious in the songs 'Arabella' and 'Knee Socks' because those songs were literally MADE for her. Also, Alex Turner is considered one of the most Goldy lyricists ever. If you ever wanted to listen to more Arctic Monkeys, I suggest their fourth album 'Suck it and See' because it's the album with slower songs but with enough electric guitar for it to be badass. Don't be put off by the name, though. It's a British saying. OR, if you want to watch one of their music videos, specifically from this album, I recommend 'Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High'. It's really entertaining and revolves around Alex Turner going home to his girlfriend drunk but manages to end up at the wrong door. This isn't Arctic Monkeys related, but I know you're more into the calmer songs. Alex Turner around 2010 made a soundtrack for a film called 'Submarine' and I'm sure you'd LOVE it. All the songs are like slowish but still have a vibe. The lyrics are incredibly meaningful, especially for our youth. And his voice is very clear in the soundtrack. Hope you had a great day!

Oml so like I’ve had a whole phase with this band since like 2018-2022 and I’ll try to unpack as many facts as I can remember about them, starting with a summary: they were founded in 2002 during the bands final years in high school when Alex Turner, the lead singer and one of the two founders band, was gifted a guitar for Christmas (the rest is history). They were originally an underground indie band that played as entertainment at local pubs, and bars. They were signed to Domino Recording Company, and released their first EP called “Five minutes with the arctic monkeys” in 2005. Followed by their debut album, “Whatever people say I am, That’s what I’m not” which was a massive hit, winning the 2006 mercury prize award. In its track, “Mardy Bum” was nominated as the fifth most streamed song during the time. (Highly recommended this being their second album you react to). They were a highly successful band since, dropping their second album in 2008 “Favourite Worst Nightmare” - (my personal favourite), followed by “Humbug”, “Suck it and see”, “AM”, “Tranquility base hotel and casino”, and their latest “The car” with all kinds of singles and eps littered in between. Now into some personal bits of the band: Alex wasn’t initially supposed to be the lead singer, and had one of his mates, Glyn Jones lead before the band had any gigs. Not much is really known about Glyn because he left before the bands first performance. Since then, the band members were composed of: Alex turner, Jamie Cook (co-lfounder, and lead guitarist), Andy Nicholson (former bassist), and Mathew Helders(drummer, and backup vocalist). Andy Nicholson left after the band’s debut in 2006 and they had Nicholas O’Malley play in his stead. Nick also acts as a co-writer for the band. Matt, is a phenomenal self-taught percussionist that only picked up the instrument when the band was in need of a drummer. This album (AM) is speculated to be about Alex Turners girlfriend at the time, Arielle Vandenberg, (some of y’all might know her from love island) You were dead on about the Lana take btw! Lana is known to be good friends with the band and (allegedly) composed an unreleased album in collaboration with Alex and his second band, “The last shadow puppets”, I suggest that you also give them a shot. The closest thing we have as a collab from the two of them is actually in Lana’s “Blue Banisters”, which you’ve already reacted to. The song “Dealer” was co-written and sung by a member of The Last Shadow Puppets: Miles Kane, cofounder and lead singer. (The last shadow puppets are also banned from coachella lol) Anyways, that’s practically all I can remember of information from 2-6 years ago at 2 in in the morning ty, and good night 💀

MKay so, Arctic Monkeys are a British band who formed in the early-mid 2000s. They’re from a city in England called Sheffield. They were one of the first huge bands who blew up on the internet because of the internet (think Limewire, MySpace, etc). Their debut album “Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not” absolutely exploded in the British alternative scene; they were only kids at the time, I think Alex was 19. The original band members all went to the same school together. They’ve released I think 7 albums since 2006. The lead singers name is Alex Turner, he is in another band called The Last Shadow Puppets with an artist named Miles Kane, who features on Dealer with Lana Del Rey. Blue Bannisters was produced by the bass player for Last Shadow Puppets and they wrote a bunch of songs together that was supposed to be released as a separate album, but it never came to light. California from NFR was written during the same writing sessions as Dealer and Thunder off Blue Bannisters. I would say this is their biggest and most popular and seen as “generic” (by gatekeeping fans) album they’ve released. It broke them into the US mainstream in 2013. It’s probably their most accessible album, their first two-three albums are cut with English references that I struggled to understand even though I’m from the UK myself but I’m not English, and theres so much regional slang. And I was only a little kid when I was listening to them lol. Their last album is called The Car, it was met with mid reception. The album before that is a conceptual lounge album about a seedy rundown hotel & casino on the moon. That wasn’t received well but it’s my favourite bc I love a concept and a theme. I’ve seen them live twice, once in Barcelona in 2018 and again in Vancouver in September 2023. They’re incredible live. I don’t know how much you’d enjoy the other albums tbh but I’m only on track 2 of this vid 😂 they’re all wildly different albums and good if you’re feeling open to new shit. Hope you enjoy ☺️ Also, Wanna Be Yours is a cover, just in case you were wondering!!

Alex turner is literally one of the best lyricists of this generation, he's the vocalist, lyricist and lead guitarist of the band. Arctic Monkeys might be somewhat mainstream in the US especially in rock spaces but they've BEEN a household name in the UK since like the 2000s. They were all just teens when they started playing gigs and released their debut album in 2005 which received widespread critical acclaim upon release and topped the UK Albums Chart, becoming the fastest-selling debut album in British chart history. Just a year after their debut they headlined UK's biggest festival and the crowd knew every word (and riff lol), you heard their single literally everywhere you went.

Just found this channel and I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU. Came for one of my favorite bands and stayed because I love the vibes. For recommendations, staying on arctic monkeys, the fan in me says ALL their music is FIRE, but their first album, “Whatever people say I am that’s what I’m not”, although a very different vibe, is a BANGER. “Favorite Worst Nightmare” also SLAPS, and if you want to listen to more of them afterwards I’d continue with “Humbug” Now for other bands, The Neighborhood are AMAZING. Their albums “Wiped out”, “I Love You” and “I can’t imagine the neighborhood ever changing” are a MUST. Another band, GLASS ANIMALSSSSS. They have such a unique vibe that I would love to see your thoughts on. Just listen to all their albums. You can’t go wrong. Just do it. (Buuuut if I had to choose, I’d start with “ZABA”. It’s their first album, and gives you a great first idea of what to expect. Their other albums are ALSO GAS. Anyway, LOVED the video, you just got a new subscriber!!!
