They're not gonna tell you their essential oil blend 🤐. A blend is a mix of the oils that make the scent, and if they gave that info out free and all willy nilly, then a competitor could easily ask the same question and run off and make the same scent and sell it. They're not being sketchy; they're protecting their brand. How do they truly know if you're not the competition? 🤔 Take it from a candle fanatic/hoarder who belongs to candle groups on Facebook (yeah, obsessed with candles and books). This fear comes out every few months about candles or other scented items, and it's usually based off of a one-off experience and then someone reports on it and scares a new batch of people. Now, a better way would be to state that you have an allergy to lavender, vanilla, etc., and are curious to know if their product has any of those ingredients in it. Usually the label will tell you the notes, but an actual ingredient list is usually reserved for hair/body products, foods, etc. I've never seen ingredients on a candle and I've tried many brands because again, to tell you the oils that make the scent would be like giving away a secret recipe. Probably easier to duplicate than a food item with the ingredients listed where there's a wider array of ingredients. Candle/wax vendors will provide the type of wax used, the fragrance notes, and the burn time (for candles) and that's pretty much it. Visit a fragrance oil website if you're still fretting. Most oils are formulated to be safe. I have a cat too and I can understand your worry, but I feel that if we're gonna worry so much about fragrance oils in candles, then we should also worry more about what's in our skin care/ hair care products, perfumes, and most importantly food.

Love your story about Tessa Virtue. I can totally see myself doing something similar if I was in your place. I actually really enjoy her and Scott’s ice dancing. The Canadians scored big in figure skating this Olympics. Team gold, ice dancing gold, and Kaetlyn Osmund got a bronze medal in the ladies competition. Congrats!

The thing with essential oils is if they tell you what ones they are giving away their 'secret scent' so so speak so many will keep quiet about what exact oils they use.

I asked me vet recently about the essential oils around cats thing and he said that it isnt an issue unless you keep the cat in an enclosed room with not much ventilation while using essential oils but I would still ask your own vet about the issue.

Whoah you flew through those audiobooks! Did you read Frostblood after The Darkest Minds? Because both main character's names are Ruby. Are you joining Camp NaNoWriMo in april/have your ever joined a WriMo? I'm writing to get into the mood and I'm outlining this month to hopefully write a big chunck of the first draft during april. When writing, I use the app Forest. I set a timer and during that time a seed grows into a tree. When you leave the app, and don't work focused anymore, the tree dies. When you complete the time trial, you get a tree in your personal forest. You can also see how many minutes you worked focused during the day. For me it's a really rewarding system when writing.

Just because a message shows on Facebook as read doesn’t necessarily mean it has been seen by a customer service rep. Many companies use a third party service to manage their incoming messages, and when that message is routed to the third party, it will show as read. Typically it would then need to be routed to a specialist, who may have other messages to work on before getting to yours. This is in no way hate on you, just explaining why they may have taken some time to reply :) it’s possible that’s their typical first response to messages like this. I would ensure you’re clear that you actually want ingredients for potential allergies and to assess animal safety/exposure (if you didn’t already). They also might not be able to release that information specifically for patent reasons, so ensuring you’re talking about allergies/safety reason may at least be able to get you answers that will give you peace of mind.
