They have been called an "Opeth female-fronted band" but they're far from being a copy. They are a progressive metal act that fuses doom metal, death metal, and gothic metal. Obviously inspired by Opeth but very original, probably my favorite discovery from 2019, they blew my mind. Check it out "The Banished Heat" it's pure poetry and it'll make you weep haha

Watched this coz I love Oceans of Slumber. Thank you for putting me on to Negura Bunjet. Amazing band. Now I have the weirdness of two of my favourite bands being Romanian. (The other being Clouds).

I liked the melancholic vibe of the song. The female singer does remind of Tatjana from Jinjer. Very talented vocalist. I also liked very much about the melodicity combined with the raw heaviness forming a marvelous soundscape.

My brother turned me onto to this band. Really enjoy these guys. If you want another female vocal led band to maybe react to one day suggesting the song Nothing Left by artist Obscure Sphinx

That's one thing I love about this band. While Jinjer is amazing, with one vocalist, they can't layer the vocals and perform it that way live. Oceans of Slumber, with three vocalists, have a ton of flexibility in what they can do.

I'm not a big fan of Doom metal,but I do like Oceans of Slumber.Cammie brings some balance and relief to the band and makes it just work for me. You might like to try the track "The Banished Heart",very different again.One of the great Prog Doom bands.

Dobber's drumming helps a lot too. It's much more dynamic than your typical doom metal style. The drums really move the music forward.

Amazing band! They just released a new album and it's damn good. Check out Pray for Fire or I Mourn These Yellowed Leaves, impressive what they've done and seriously need more exposure.

As another suggestion what to listen to in the line of this, I can highly recommend the band "Trees of Eternity" featuring the amazing female singer Aleah Starbridge. They only have a single album and there's a totally heartbreaking story behind it which you will immediately learn about if you do the slightest bit of research. Give any song on that album a try, I'm almost certain you are going to dig it.
