Vulkan has grown on me so much... They blend perfectly with my most dear bands - Tool, Opeth, Haken, Leprous and Rishloo.

@@JimNewstead Yes, it would be great if you could manage to squeeze them into your schedule somehow and react to a complete album - maybe their last one, Living as Ghosts with Buildings as Teeth? Sadly they didn't produce any new music for 9 years, and they started 19 years ago, so maybe these 4 albums are all we'd ever have.. In my opinion it is a great misfortune that they're not recognized more globally, I mean they have very unique sound and are masters of their trade..

Great reaction Jim! I discovered these guys a couple years ago! Really loving them! I agree with your assessment of them having a lot of influences! Fairly fresh modern metal. I hear a nod to Mastodon as well as Tool. They would have fitted well on the 2nd stage at Download, I reckon.

I remember the bands name but that’s all. The droning base is a bit too prominent to my liking (could be because I’m using my tv now) but for the rest I can listen to this music. It certainly needs a second time listening on better audio equipment.

Great reaction Jim! I discovered this band a couple years ago. Really digging them! I agree of your assessment of them having many influences but they really do bring their own stylings to music!
