When y’all were talking about Judge and his cards at high prices it really resonated when you asked “is he a buy?”. I think that would be a really great idea for a video that I think people such as myself might enjoy. Discussing some of the top players and whether their corresponding cards and their prices are a buy/sell/hold. I know that’s super investment focused but it would be beneficial and interesting for us to hear. Just an idea! Absolutely phenomenal show as always!

Enjoyable video! No major arguments from me. I think Goldschmidt is on the bubble, but probably gets in on a later ballot. As a Reds fan I'm looking forward to more Votto discussion. 7 time OBP leader, 2 time OPS leader, 1 time MVP with a few other top-10's and ~ 65 WAR. The reason Goldy and Mccutchen are close in counting stats is due to Mccutchen debuting earlier and playing a higher number of games. Mccutchen has 2,095 games played compared to Goldschmidts 1,873. With those extra games Mccutchen is still behind Goldy in every counting stat aside from hits (due to playing more games) and stolen bases. (219 vs 164). Mccutchen has been an average to below average defnder for his career aside from one early gold glove while goldy has 4 gold gloves and was elite defensively. Gold has a .894 ops 139 ops+ while Mccutchen has an ops of .830 with a 127 ops+. With all that beingsaid, Goldy has been the better player with 9 mvp vote seasons vs Mccutchens 4. You could even say “Mccutchens numbers are close to Freeman’s” and while it is true, people would still view Freeman as the better player. With that all being said, I would like Mccutchen in the hall of fame. I just don’t think he will quite get there. A player needs to have either elite rate stats, elite advanced analytics, or elite counting stats and Cutch is good at all those things but note quite elite in any. That’s my two cents anyway! Thanks for watching.

After Cole, and with a looming power vacuum once the current big Active 4 retire over the next 2-3 years (Max, Justin, Clayton and Zach), the next tier down has potential AND questions. Chris Sale is the craziest coin flip at both ends of the extremes. He could get 3,000Ks and I wouldn’t be shocked, or he could be done in 2 seasons and I also wouldn’t be shocked. I’ve been on the Aaron Nola train for a few years. His career accumulation is on track, but he needs some more Cy Young votes possibly. And here’s the roughest of roughies - Robbie Ray. Like Nola, needs more cumulative Cy Young votes, but if he can stay fit, he’s barely put anything into his arm (just over 1200IP at age 32), so although he needs a good 5 year span to just stay in the conversation, he could have a fresher arm in his later 30s than others in contention. But if he faded out in the next 2-3 years, it wouldn’t shock me either.
