Absolutely, completely, thoroughly and TOTALLY AMAZING AND AWE INSPIRING! Holy mackerel Felix!! You give an entire new meaning to "One Arm Paper Hanger". I don't know how it is possible for a human to have the ability to have your hands flying over the keys with jet speed and have your feet setting fire to the pedal board and all the time focusing on keeping the performance highly musical and not mechanical is beyond imagination!!! Beginning at time stamp 18:18 is something that needs to go down in history. If I had not seen this I honestly would never have believed that this level of expertise even existed. (Can you tell I'm impressed?) Thanks so much for sharing your AWESOME TALENT with us normal folk. God has blessed you.

Felix is indeed a master. However, for every organist this is rehearsed, planned, refined, and adjusted all the time until it is as near to perfect is possible. Felix has learned to do this superbly well.

I am sure you are correct, but to me it does not matter HOW he does it. He DOES IT and for that we are most grateful.

This great piece has an awesome spiritual message in a world where so much "music" is just crap. For those who would understand, the bass pedal C held at the end represents, to my mind, the Holy Ghost or Aum vibration heard in yoga meditation. Thanks, Felix, you are awesome, and thanks for the trumpets at the end!

where is this organ located? I've seen it used in many videos by the KZbin channel 'prinzipal67' whuch by the name suggests its somewhere in germany.

Great performance - fantastic registration, articulation -- AS USUAL!! Great to see this and you ! Is the console we're seeing your own Hauptwerk console? Is it a hybrid combination of speaking pipes and Hauptwerk? I'd love to see and know more about your setup.

Thanks so much. This is a fully digital Hauptwerk setup in a residence in Bochum -- not my own, sadly. :)

@@felixhell.organist - it certainly appears to be a fully-wrought installation! You were obviously having fun playing it -- always a good sign of a quality instrument. Yet my ears can always tell the difference between a Hauptwerk instrument and an actual pipe instrument in an actual acoustic - the digital acoustic somehow does not blend the same as the actual acoustic. I'd love to hear a live recording of you playing this on the actual instrument in the actual room in Saint Etienne.

This is my favorite Liszt organ work, and your playing of it is marvelous! Love the pace, rubato and registration. Thank you for sharing this performance! 21:50 David Spicer (one of my dearly beloved organ teachers) always added a chromatic scale in the right hand here (right after the fanfare figure) and it just seems empty without it!

I am sorry I am being that one person... Well, I noticed some minor mistakes, but that's mostly because I have heard this composition many times before and I know it almost by heart at this point. But I really admire your playing as the whole. You made all effects sound really beautiful and clean, the tempo with which you played it was absolutely as it fits for every part but I mostly like the organ on which you played it. The recording I know is nice too but there's something so special and charming about the sound of your organ... Yes, as other people said here, beautiful performance.

A magnificent performance, with clear registration. I first heard you play this piece at Melbourne Town Hall, Australia on 10 August 2014, where you kindly autographed my program, and I also heard you there in May 2005 on your first visit to Melbourne, where your concert gained rave reviews. Thank you so much for sharing this brilliant presentation on KZbin.
