Liszt's Genius Schubert Winterreise Transcriptions (with musical examples)

I am so hoping you decide to analyze in detail both lieder (Schubert, Schumann, Brahms, Strauss) and Melodies (Berlioz, Faure, Debussy, and Ravel), solo and choral, the way you have done with Bach's cantatas and Haydn symphonies. And I was beginning to think I had nothing left to learn from you. Ha! that'll be the day!

Speaking about Schubert-Liszt transcriptions, please do a talk devoted to the great Lazar Berman, who was a master of this repertoire and sadly seems to be a bit forgotten nowadays, considering there was a time (okay, it was only a very short period) in the 70s where he was like the most hyped pianist in the world. As always, great content, please keep up the stream of delightful videos :)

It's fascinating to compare Liszt's Schubert transcriptions with Godowsky's - they're not as "direct" as Liszt's but they're much more ornate and elaborate. Fascinating works that I'd recommend - not to replace Liszt's great works but to complement them with an interesting alternative!
