I just saw the comment you saying Black Keys is harder than this one. %100 AGREED. I also think Beethoven tempest is one of his easiest sonata and easier than most of Mozart sonatas. I can discuss this with everyone

Glad someone else agrees. But I can't really say much about his Tempest sonata since I haven't played it before... even easier than his #19 and 20? As for Mozart sonatas, professionals say Mozart is much harder to master because of how clear it is and how much control you need so any mistake easily stands out.

You're not the only one. Mozart is said to be harder because it's more clear so mistakes are more obvious, plus more awkward and tricky runs based from experience. Not sure how hard he is musically. Professionals say he's the hardest to master

This etude is one of my favorites along with no.2,6,7,11 and 12. The "Appasionata" title for those don't know wasn't actually a title by liszt, it was by busoni who named it along with no.2 which is "Fusées", it was called appasionata because it has some kind of resemblance to the finale of beethoven's appasionata, "Fusées"(No.2) or "Rockets" on the other hand was titled because the right hand leap figures gave impression of rockets going off.
