Interesting to see the evolution in tango...despite our efforts to keep it "pure"...thanks for posting!

Since I saw it for the first time, this has become my favorite tango video. Can you name anybody who dances (and better yet) teaches in this style - "tango con corte" or whatever it's called?

Dream on, my friend. Tango has been sanitized into a style where long-striders, European types have surfaced to the top via natural selection (read, "market forces") over several decades. I came across some very telling comments on KZbin about this matter: "Medio verdulero El Cachafaz" (translation from Lunfardo: "What el Cachafaz (Benito Bianquet, one of the greatest milongueros of all time) is doing on the dance floor is b*&%it"). If someone tried to dance like the Mendez on a dance floor today, people would laugh them off as being plain clownish. Sad, sad...At least I'm old enough to have seen those types back in Argentina, in septuagenarians in the late 1960's.
