Thank you for this. Big Boys will never get the credit they deserve and actually that's okay, because those who matter know the impact they made.

I bought a big boys record " no matter how long .." in the mid to late 80's in a record shop in Bristol UK .. not many people over here had heard of them , it took me a few years to find more records of theirs . I played the shit out of that one .. and I started a band ..

Yeah, their stuff was hard to find here in Canada too. It was like winning the lottery when you came across one though!

Yeah I remember the beginning of the punk scene in LA with bands like the Dils, the Screamers, the Weirdos, the Germs, Geza X and the Mommymen, Black Flag, Black Randy and the Metro Squad, Black Randy was responsible for the one of the best album titles.... "Pass the Dust, I think I'm Bowie!"...it was GREAT there was no template for punk rock no uniform no hate we were not affraid of blacks or gay peeps....it was so open and accepting it was my first expeirence of a family.....after Punk got notorious on TV we had a big influx of ex jcoks and lames especially from the south bay area and the weekend valley punk....it was a clear demarcation of the beginnig of the end.....well nothing stays the same I'm just blessed I got to expeirence the beginning of it in LA!

o h wow! was in the heart of this is austin. My boyfriend was alfred claude whitmire III a street 'kid' I met thru Chris' younger brother andrew the summer of 81.. i think. We were definately a part of the austin skate punk scene. Alfred used to blast out of the bowls on his 20" bmx bike at the skate park. Remember this is WAY b4 anyone had seen ANYBODY do a trick like that! i got pregmant and dropped out of high school around the time the big boys went on the tour they were talking about in this vid. Alfred was friends with Biscuit and the summer I got pregnant we were living in a tent on lake travis. When we would go into town to work we would often stop by Biscuits apartment off guadalupe. Watching this brings back so many memories from a time I haven't thought about in years! THank you! This was awesome to watch!!!!~

I think Axl Rose would not agree. How much took him to record the monstruosity called Chinese democracy? I don't know which one is more stupid, the title or the music. On the other side,BIG BOYS were funny and sounded fresh

Yes, the album was manipulated by the producer (and owner of Raul's) so that he had one side (Big Boys) that he could potentially get on the radio. That's why the bonus 7" released in the 90s had the Big Boys songs with profanity in them. He just edited out the curse words.

So I was in a band called the fury. Detroit Ann Arbor area. We opened for than a couple of times. I believe one time they stayed over at the house that we were living in and Ann Arbor and we were getting kicked out by the police because we didn't pay our rent or something like that. Ha ha ha ha ha ha. That was total punk rock sub for them apologize but we had a great party right before so.

Wow! That was great. Out of curiosity, was that a trailer? Or was that the whole documentary? In either case, great to see some media and coverage about a very underrated band.

Excelent band like most of the scene in tex ass.i know bout them bcoz the Minor Treath drummer home made t shirt. Then i started colecting records from Texas bands like Early DRI , MDC of course ,The DICKS ,offenders etc...unique stile Big Boys.people today claims that skate punk start in the 90 with NOFX and propaghandi.i doubt any of those bands skated but the firs😅😂
