Wow, thanks for taking care of those fender wells and adding those mods. The stance is way better and the front does not look so squatty. Kevin, way to go on your diet. Looking fit and using those tools with authority. Keep up the good work, it shows in all you do. Until next time 🤙👍

Dam, hell yeah , the person who wins this Gladiator in the fall is going to pass out from shock and wake up 24 hours later , shake their head , roll their eyes, jump in it and give a hell yeah brother and drive away smiling from ear to ear and your lady knows her shit, well done and you will never go wrong with Bilstein shock products ,I have use them for 40 years in lots of different applications and had no failures you 2 are super fortunate to be able to test these shocks right from factory Have fun testing those shocks off road , that is the best mount system for all Jeep JK /JL models 67 designs makes the best quality stuff for Jeeps

What’s with those bowed springs up front? Not that big of a deal. Just don’t know if y’all noticed it. Looks so good though! I’ve been thinking of getting some king bypass shocks for my rig. I’ve heard they aren’t that good unless your doing high speed stuff and I’m a crawler. So idk. Curious to see how you guys like those bilsteins.

LB. Does she take 220 volt connection ? The Bilstein damper is the best I've found at medium speed Pre-runner type drives ! Triple Bypass unit are really competition level shocks and remote reservoir is all we require for overlanding Downunder. V

Whats the trail benefit if I replace my AEV Bilstein 5100's with the Bypass version, as someone who wheels blues and blacks at Rausch Creek and AOAA in PA? Thank you.
@bilsteinUS
@bilsteinUS 4 жыл бұрын
Benefits are adjust-ability, position sensitivity, and better shock travel and cooling. Having the damping force ramp up near the end of the stroke allows much more comfortable ride mid-stroke. That can make a long day of crawling much less taxing. However, the big improvement is in high-speed ride quality on rough trails.

So, the only thing I'd say is, when welding strap tie downs to your axle, do so to the top of the axle if possible. On bottom like they did here is just another catch point off road.

I’m glad you guys had a chance to shake down the Gladiator and I learned a lot about splitting the fender which will be helpful down the road. I am curious though, you showed a Softopper underneath a bed rack. Two questions, 1. What brand of rack was that? 2. Did the owner say anything about how difficult it was to stow that Softopper with the rack installed? I am curious because I’d love a weather-protected solution for wheelchairs in the bed and still having some utility and customization. Thanks Brittany and Kevin!

You should use your influence in the industry to do something about that huge mirror. For shorter drivers like Kevin that mirror isn't an issue but if your over 6' tall that mirror creates a huge blind spot. Kinda sucks having to lean forward to look under the mirror when you pull up to a four way stop. Being able to move the mirror up and make it the size of an Iphone would be awesome.
