actually there is a tactic where 2 builders work together to defend. One builder will try to defend waves from 2 builders and the other one will focus on lumber. So the one that is building lumber would send hordes of creeps to the enemies. This tactic can only be pulled of by using some combination of tower

I believe your theory is pretty close to the mark, but with perhaps a few other considerations: As you've said, there is ALOT more money on the map in general. The thing to consider, however, is that it's *on the map*. If you have 60% of your team on one side of the map, the other 40% will never be able to effectively claim the resources on the other half: one of them has to leave lane unattended to farm the jungle camps, thereby wasting gold and XP from minions running into an undefended tower, or jungle camps that are never cleared. But if the side lanes each have a second hero, then one hero on each side can leave lane and farm the jungle without having to worry about lane creeps not being farmed, thereby ensuring that their team is overall receiving as much gold as is possible. Furthermore, if you have 3 heroes in one lane that is one lane+one side of the jungle's worth of resources being split between 3 heroes- meaning that each of them individually has less than they would if just one of them went somewhere else. All the while the two heroes in the other lanes have more farm available than they can use- they'll end up 6-slotting far sooner than the rest of their team, and after half an hour have 8k gold they can't spend that could have been on one of the three other gold-starved players instead. The main reason trilanes worked initially was because the above 6-slot scenario basically never happened, creeps just weren't worth enough for it to happen within the timeframe of a standard game, even the long games didn't really reach the point where one or two players had thousands of gold just idling in their wallet. Therefore concentrating gold on those two players was effective- you could even have 2 of the trilaners avoid farming to further concentrate gold on the third while still being in lane to fight for kills on that same hero. Farming the other side of the map's Jungle wasn't as much of a concern because it was both worth less gold, jungle creeps spawned less often, and they were generally much more difficult to farm for most heroes meaning that the gold they did provide wasn't really available anyways. The addition of neutral items exacerbated this, providing strong incentive to farm the jungle in certain timeframes to ensure that the highest tier items drop for your team.

That's the Tetris Effect, of which the game was named after. It can happen with not just tetris, but other games as well if you spend a lot of time with them, but it's very common with Tetris because shapes are Very Easy.

Hatchling is super OP dude. The units are lot different then the ones in Wc3. Upgrading sniper to zeus is good in dota 2 but in wc3 you would build pyro.

I think if you leak, you should get all the money if your teammate clears it, but your teammate should also get bonus cash.
