I feel the exact same way about The Little Prince! One of my most treasured comfort reads. My other favourite is The Complete Tales of Winnie the Pooh. I re-read it every year and I laugh and sob every time. It's heaven.

As far as childhood favorites go I cannot recommend Sharon Creech enough. 'Walk Two Moons' and 'Chasing Redbird' are my top picks, but 'Absolutely Normal Chaos' and 'Bloomability' are also great. Definitely Harry Potter. It helped me learn how to read when my dyslexia had me down. "The Host" was a favorite when I was a Teen, but now as an adult my favorite books/most reread books are the alphabet series by Sue Grafton. "K is for Killer' might be my favorite, but they are all so good. I find them comforting.

@@SallyThames it's a super cute sapphic romance where one girl doesn't want a relationship after a messy break up (saoirse) and the other girl is a die hard romcom(ruby) fan so ruby persaudes saoirse to have a summer romance like in the movies without all the messy parts - this was a really bad way of describing it but its super cute and now im rereading it for the second time this year
