People are saying "you lose a turn for playing crackling doom". I say...you also gain the turn that you play it. Is it absolutely insane as Trump thinks it is, no. But it is in no way bad. It's a Twisting Nether that lets you take next turn this turn, and is more flexible about when you can play it.

The arena format has just changed wildly and Trump's still learning it, and the recent changes may have increased the wins the lowest level players get and reduced the wins the highest level players get. When Trump says he has drafted the best deck he has ever made in arena, he is referencing the amount of times hes drafted with the very new arena rules which greatly, greatly improve the strength of the average arena draft and the old 4 year format with weaker decks.

Yo @Trump: There is a perfect play at 22:40. Attack with 2/2 into taunt, then fire elemental it, then play jade claws. If one of the juggles goes face you have lethal (so thats a 50% 2 times). If both go into the minion you get a clean trade with your 3/1. Always check lethal options first my dear arena master. Man I'm so proud of seeing you go face more often. Pretty much started getting to know the game watching you back in 2014 when turn 2 yeti was still the dream. Keep it up man, started to enjoy watching your content again. Is Jens still there?? I didn't see anything in this video that suggested crackling doom is less good than you thought it was, against tyrion any board clear would have lost the game in the same way, I think you probably would have gotten that game if he hadn't highrolled kodo, which is particularly impressive considering the new paladin secret should make that harder than ever to get the right one you need off of hydrologist. bad luck

Worst part is he clearly didn't learn that you shouldn't draft that many crackling dooms... They were dead in his hand multiple times because his deck was so good otherwise (the proactive jade cards were incredible). If your deck has bad curve, they get a lot better in multiples. They also get better when you have some reason to be overloading or some way to remove the overload. None of that either.

Didn't get offered any truesilvers, tirions, or any of the good cards. Got offered unidentified maul a ton tho so that's good. Shame I never had a board though cause my opponent always has perfect curve/answers. Someone bless me with RNG just one time. I've only ever gotten 10 wins in arena lemme get my first 12 then i'll give your luck back

Crackling doom isn't as good as it looks on the surface unless you have some cheese to go with it. Better off using minions + volcano/storm and still having some mana next turn. If your opponent follows up your doom w/ a board clear and plays a minion, you are worse off then when you started. It gets even worse from there because your opponent knows they get a free turn and they can setup up a play that you can't do anything to stop. In a meta where everyone gets clears, its not wise to pass your turn just to 1 shot everything.
