Yes. There will not be a DEKALB Jamboree. There are other battles being done this year though.

Honestly, its about crowd pleasing. This was my Sr. year of high school and I am the middle tuba player for OHS (Section leader). It was THE first time we ever attended a Dekalb County Jamboree...I've done my time in high school and collegiate band so I have to be honest. The high point of Lithonia's show was the Tuba Rip at the beginning of their show. In my opinion, they've always been boring and slaw... Not just for this show. Now they had 3 maybe 4 actual tuba players and 5 or 6 horn holders. In Cobb, they don't march 8th Graders so for Lithonia to be that size and to have so much youth going on, they should've been more live than what they were. Tone was slaw, energy was absent and show was boring. Now Osborne. As one who helped build OHS from nothing, for this show, this was the culmination of all my high school years. I take pride in this show, because it was our 1st time and we refused to get showed up. We had THE best DM Intro in the Jamboree. But I wouldnt say we had the best song selection or show, but for our size and the opponent we had. We did our school and the jamboree some justice. Our sound was solid and our show was about entertaining the crowd. and we did just that. Lithonia got outplayed and showed up. especially for their name and their size. We had to make a name for ourselves and we did. Now this is where I get upset. the next year while I'm in college, I hear that OHS gets blown out by a band from SC. While I was in high school, we never had more than a 5 piece tuba section. OHS shows up to that battle with 10 and gets outplayed by a band we a 10 piece brass section. So while I'm giving credit where its due, I have to say that OHS fell off after a bit. And its not just because I'm Alum but because the passion isnt there. So to LHS, their show wasn't anything new. But to OHS. get your game up. (Oh, and we never stole anything from South Atlanta, they weren't our competition so we didn't pay them any attention at all, Ya'll really thought we went on KZbin and researched bands to copy??? and we chose South Atlanta??? Not even OP Walker, or SWD or EVEN LHS... But we're gonna bite off of S.Atlanta lol slick played us...)

@DarkZ41126 it detracts from the crowds focus on your music. therefore you can sound like shit, but iff you add the extras in you might still get a crowd reaction.

@stepboybleu Now is all that really necessary those moves have been passed down through traditional style bands for YEARS its all about who executes them the best and YES ii know people who graduated in 07 and 08 and you quys did very well but theres always room for other bands to come up

djunior2011 Osborne can stand with any band in Atlanta, what you heard from Lithonia was nothing but a train wreck, the sound they had was terrible the ears hurt after the sound they make. The Osborne band has great quality, even though they are a small band, and please all Lithonia did was just stand.

to be honest lithonia didnt lose the intro was solid. the balled was sexy the dancers song could of been better...and lastly the band band was epic..osborne didnt really do much man..lithonia dicked the hell out of them the last battle was nice tho i got to admit

Damn...I kinda feel bad for Osborne but they did there best. Atleast I guess there show was intertaining enough that it wasn't a complete loss but I also think that lithonia kinda shrugged it off as if Osborne wasn't even important. In the end I give it to lithonia because they sounded a lot better and Osborne tried to hard to talk trash when Lithonia didnt even have too to win that battle...keep working osborne. Dont use trash talking as a fallback plan next time...just work on the music and everything else more...its cool to intertain but you still have to deliver.

yea im not finna argue with some insecure high school horn holder...everybody knows osborn could never compete with atlanta bands like Redan, Stephenson, MLK or even Lithonia for that matter...for your information Osbourn did not get a full standing ovation the only schools who got an ovation that was O.P Walker, Miller Grove & Redan...im glad that you are a mascot & have pride in yo school but only talk shit if your group that you call a band is good
