Lietuva yra kaimai ir miesteliai, Šiauliai geriausiai atspindi didžiaja dalį Lietuvos. Nors šiaip smagiausia yra Kaune ir Klaipedoi, bet jokiu budu ne Vilnius.

Also, I am hoping as well that you will come back to Lithuania and explore the country more since there are a lot to see besides the the hill of crosses (of course, you chose one of the great places to visit in Lithuania). I am from šiauliai i love that you visited my town but there is much more to see next time come for a longer stay. I recommed to see Vilnius the capital, Druskiningai its very beautiful and has lots of lovely Spa, also visit the coast Palanga Klaipėda, Nida i hope you'll love our beaches. And if you'll visit Šiauliai again there are few more sites you can visit. like the villa of Frenkelis and golden boy statue it is not as grand as sights in Vilnius but Šiauliai was destroyed a lot durring WW II so that is why there is not much here also next time go to the candy factory called Rūta it makes amazing sweets

Viltė Malinauskaitė Well it depends on what people are looking for. Klaipėda, Kuršių Nerija, Palanga and Ignalina are the more nature type snd other cities are some other type. It depends of the persons taste. You may like Kaunas they may like Vilnius. Personally I like: 1. Klaipėda, Kuršių Nerija, Ignalina, Vilnius ( they share 1st place for me ) 2. Šiauliai, Druskininkai, Birštonas ( 2nd place all ) 3. Other But if we are talking about Vilnius, Kaunas I like Vilnius more. ( Personally )

Hey guys! Really good quality videos! This was so insane-you filmed the building i grew up in this city! I must admit that this wasn't the best choice for touring Lithuania. The environment really does resemble the "era of great depression", especially in this city. I totally understand your disappointment! Hopefully, if you ever decide to visit the Baltics again, when we have hot Summers (which we do lol), you'll visit the capital city and the seaside region which is breathtaking! However, i am giving a thumbs up! ;)

Regarding the cold weather for September, I just checked my world atlas, and in Estonia, you're as far north as Juneau, AK, and even in the UK, you're at the same latitude as Churchill, Manitoba, Canada--the polar bear town on Hudson Bay. Also wished you could show the church as I wanted to show my mom in Texas where my children were baptized :D But it's ok she will see her city and the Hill of Crosses. I live in Norway for the last 12 years, but plan to move there on the next years, beautiful language, culture and food. Most of the people is lovely once you get to know them well. Next time you are there, try to visit the Trakai Castle and Palanga as well, on the last it's a Amber Museum and a beautiful beach with has a very long extension and thin sand. Amazing on summer! Good luck on your future trips :)

I lived in Klaipeda, Lithuania for several months in spring of 2017 and loved every moment of it! It's too bad I didn't know about Kara and Nate then because I could have found their cross and signed it when I visited the hill! Anyway, so glad they tried Kepta Douna (the fried bread with cheese) so yummy and easy to make even in the US, although its not as good as the real thing since our rye bread isn't as dark and ingredients aren't as fresh.
@juvi9997 жыл бұрын
There was nothing wrong with their destination. I find the best places those that have no tourists because you get to see the real country - the real ordinary people and their lives on an ordinary day. I think it was a good choice. If you ever make back to the Baltic countries, visit the capital and Trakai. White sand dunes is another good choice but not always convenient to get to if visiting for a short period of time.

So for kicks and giggles I mapped out a one year trip and figured out how I could hit about 38-40 countries in the first year by starting in Portugal. It allowed for mostly 10 days in each country with the exception of the mini countries (Andorra, Monaco, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, San Marino). It was a fun thing to do! Loved your day in Lithuania! When I get to Lithuania, I'll try to find your cross so I can sign it (if there's still room!) Your lunch looked/sounded Amazing!!

If you ever go back here's a little advice - the best month to go is June cause due to climate change it is really hot wich is rare in Lithuania and usually in June we have the best weather. Siauliai is like one of the dullest part of Lithuania - I'd say it is MUCH better to visit either kaunas, palanga, vilnius, klaipeda. Also there wasn't many people because august is when school starts and it's usually when it also gets cold.

Lil' Pliosaur fun fact most many of 'Poles' in Lithuania are Lithuanians who got Polonized after living under Polish occupation. Guess they thought by pretending to be Poles they would be treated better and they remained so for generations now. That is why they can't even speak proper Polish. Only of mixture of Polish and Russian. And they are most vocal parts of 'minorities' here too.

Looks like you been on a work day in Šiauliai, nobody is there(everyone has to wok in this copuntry to survive, no parties all day/night ;) ), lol. And yes, this is not a touristy town, it is pretty dead thing to see, you have to go to Kaunas and Vilnius for that, Trakai in summer or other touristy places.

Lol you made the equivalent of going to America and only visiting Detroit. Siauliai is too much of a shithole even for us natives, I can't imagine there being anything of interest for foreign tourists
@mrkitty19977 жыл бұрын
hmmmmm.. Well.. Siauliai is the 4th largest city in Lithuania, so it's equivalent to Huston. If your 4th largest city is a ''shithole'' ,I can't imagine your largest city being that much better. (and by the way, Vilnius was built by poles and jews,hence northen Jerusalem ^.^ )
@vidmantasb59937 жыл бұрын
That comparison is just flat out stupid, look at how many cities there are in US and then in Lithuania. Also Vilnius gets pretty much all the country's money, while the rest are just left to themselves to slowly decay, so there's a pretty major difference between Siauliai and Vilnius, it matters very little who the hell lived there a 200 years ago

"Amber is a thing" for tourists. :) I haven't seen locals really wearing a lot of it. But I love it. Almost ALL bars in LT have garlic bread. That's definitely a thing! With beer. And this summer WAS pretty cold. Visit us again! ^^ Btw, the Hill also looks very impressive at night!

What did you do to all the people tell them that you were going to charge them to be on your post the place was deserted for the lovely road and nice buildings must have been a town meeting somewhere stay safe

Bene C Lt doesn't do town meetings. There are actually not that many people populating the country
@thedeadlinger69927 жыл бұрын
Bene C Town meetings in Lithuanian? What are you, gay? Just kidding, but we don't do that, only if that's on Christmas when there are concerts at the cathedral, then that night with fellow Lithuanians is lit.
@aplsos1127 жыл бұрын
TheDeadLinger well actually it's me who's gay. But it's okay. I guess I should blame myself for having to deal with your hatered, since I could have just killed myself when I was bullied and threatened daily in school

Mhm all lithuanians just hid, you know. Doing "seacret meeting" and "plotting " how to get rid of you. What an duche you are, person. People at work. That's the right answer. If you think everyone will run to meet tourists, it's wrong country. There be like zero people, who would even consider doing the "act" for the post. You would look like weirdo offering money. Maybe people will even call cops on you. And that "stay safe" statement... Are serious? Oh wait the town meeting. I ge it. Be aware of the plot twist. XD
