As a descendant of a refugee family, this gesture of solidarity moved me to tears. Being a refugee is one of the scariest experience ever coz of the uncertainty of life and the certainty of death. Thank you for this grand gesture. ❤

How certain are you of death? I'm 100% certain of mine; I'm uncertain as to the time, place, or circumstances. I love how honest you were when you said you were a 'descendant of a refugee family.' That description applies to 100% of humanity. :) I find it interesting what people did to survive and thrive before this current post-WWII generation of wimps came along. Our ancestors weren't nearly as concerned about their situation as we are and we can't do anything about it but they made the most of it and that's what attracts so many to our shores... well that and free stuff because we don't think the current refugees are strong enough, mentally or physically, to make it on their own as our ancestors were.
